This place is a historic mainstay on Lyndale for a reason. It’s looking a little rough around edges these days, but is worth a stop if you’re looking for hearty Chinese food and cocktails served in a cozy, charming, tucked away environment.

There’s a nice Asian girl that always work there as the bartender every time I visit, she’s really pretty but I think she’s stealing from the register….

I came to eat later in the evening after work. Was somewhat busy. The food was delicious and my server very kind. They only had 2 servers on so I think they were a bit busy so some things were a bit slow. The booths are kind of broken from wear I almost fell through the seat. Was pretty spendy as well. All in all I had a decent experience and will go back for that fried chicken.

The food is still very good, but not like it was in the 90’s! Egg foo yung was the best back then! It had more vegies and the edges were fried differently. Lo mein is great! But, the cream cheese puffs are tough and hard to eat. However, i find Red Dragon is still the place to eat Chinese!

Absolutely delicious. We went here for my sister’s birthday and the food was delicious. I had the Mongolian beef and she had the chicken wings and chicken fried rice. Everything was delicious and fresh. The waitress got us everything we wanted and promptly. The drinks are huge and definitely strong but also really good. I will definitely be back the next time I come to Minneapolis.

The kitchen is unreliable. I stopped in to ask when the kitchen was open on the weekend and was told 11p. We showed up at 10:20 pm on a Saturday, and they told us we could only order appetizers only, so we ordered 4 appetizers. The bartender returned at 10:30 and said the kitchen had closed, but they would let us order egg rolls and shrimp toast.

The server was good but the food and atmosphere were awful. I paid 75 bucks for two entres, an appetizer, and a beer. The food tastes like the cheapest, most generic, flavorless, frozen microwaved Chinese food you’ve ever had in your life. I don’t know why anyone would want to go here.

I’ve had a lot of experience with several different Chinese takeout restaurants in the cities. I was really looking forward to Red Dragon considering the reviews and the recommendations. But unfortunately our experience was profoundly disappointing. We had the beef lo-mein, the chicken pineapple and a side of pot stickers.

Wonderous Punches are flowing again! Service was a bit slow for the reopen. I expect it to be better by the weekend. Come out and support your favorite bar!
