1st time here. Kiddo loved the whole wings sat special. Tenders taste similar to dairy queen (no complaints-they were good). Onion rings crunchy, but didn’t taste “homemade”. Sweet potato fries and regular fries also didn’t taste “homemade” not crunchy at all. Hush puppies were amazing! Bacon appeared to not be cooked all the way but the batter on the hush puppies was too good. Came with two sauces whatever the green sauce was AMAZING! Last but no least the rice Krispy was good.

If I could give it 10 ⭐️ I would. I’ve been on a disappointing quest to find good cornmeal battered catfish since we moved to the area a year and a half ago and the places I’ve gone have either had too much flour in the mix or their catfish was cheap and muddy. WELL TODAY WAS THE DAY, I FINALLY FOUND IT! The catfish was perfectly breaded with the right (IMO) blend of cornmeal, the fish was nice and white without the mud water taste. The portions are large. I got the Rob plate which is a fried shrimp and catfish combo with seasoned fries. Definitely recommend! Rob was the one who took our order and was super friendly and accommodating. My husband was supposed to order the hand dipped corn dog but switched it up and ordered the chicken tenders and he said they were good too. So we had to order one corn dog just so we could taste them, they’re good as well. But THE STAR of the show were the shrimp and jalapeño stuffed hush puppies, WE LOVED THEM! The place is small and clean, there are about 4 tables inside and two covered picnic tables outside. If you haven’t tried them YOU SHOULD.

Super excited to pickup some great eats from Rec’s Hushpuppie Heaven today. This is straight up State Fair of Texas, first place winning eats. The Shrimp, Jalapeño and Bacon are delicious! So are the corn dogs and sweet potato fries. Many more items on the menu that I must try. Keep showing them our Pville love. They are located at 200 E. Pecan in the El Rincon shopping center.

This will be my new favorite place to stop at when we are coming into town from the country. The kids would love this and I am excited about trying the Gumbo on the next visit. We ate some of the hushpups before the pic but you get 3!

Small business, great food! Not a huge menu but what I have tried is excellent! Don’t eat here if you are on a diet, because you will fail. The hush puppies are stuffed and 3 were plenty for a lunch. Crispy on the outside, with the right amount of sweetness to the corn bread.

OMG I had the Mac and cheese hush puppies (size of tennis balls) and they were delicious!!! Going back for the brisquit hush puppies soon! Catfish was great too. Highly recommend

FANTASTIC catfish, same price as local competitors, but larger portions! First time here for lunch (pick up)- travelled well, and fish and fries still ‘let-it-cool-down’ hot, and delicious. GREAT job to the folks at HPH!

First time going there, definitely not the last. Perfectly fried catfish. Had the shrimp jalapeño hush puppies and Philly steak sandwich, they were wonderful. Can’t wait to go back!

I loved the warm vibe and atmosphere of this quaint little establishment on the corner of historic downtown Pflugerville. I walked in hearing a mixture of music diversity playing in the background while I waited! Customer service was nice and kind people working there. The philly cheese steak sandwich, fries, and brisket hushpuppies were delicious! Fresh and tasty with its flavor and spices! Highly recommended! #comfortfood
