Came in after reading reviews and a requirement for fried pickles. We were a little skeptical as we arrived. We went in the lady who handle all the service was great. She was friendly, attentive, and good. The kitchen to a but to get food out but we all liked it from the pickles, burgers, tenderloin and roast beef special. If in the area I would go again.

Can’t go to Ottumwa without stopping by the Recover Room for a tenderloin. Thick white meat breaded enough for a crisp crunch served on a bun gently hanging over. Served up with french fries that are crisp right from the fryer.

My husband and I had lunch here. We LOVE the tenderloin. I has the special Giant tenderloin on Texas toast topped with gravy potatoes on the side with gravy. Delicious!! Hubby had the breaded tenderloin sandwich with fries. SO GOOD!! This place never disappoints.

I went there wanting a nice good cheeseburger but they had a tenderloin special with mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans so I tried it instead and it was so good. I hope they have it every Sunday! Service was excellent!
