Ray Ray’s Italian Beef & Sausage is the closest version of an authentic Chicago beef and sausage combo you can get in Kalamazoo. The sandwich was tasty. It definitely could have used some more beef on the sandwich. The fries are fresh cut fries were a bonus. My overall experience was good.

The maxwell street polish, rib tips, and Chicago dog are AMAZING!! Tastes like going to the Chi. I live in Grand Rapids, but I order pickup from here whenever I’m in town. Best food in Kalamazoo!!

If you’re looking for the most authentic Chicago dog/food stop in Kalamazoo this is it!! I had my wife look at the menu in the car before ordering because they used to heckle you if you didn’t know what you wanted, lol! However, I believe ownership has changed since last time I was there, so there was no heckling. The food is still really good and the new owners are running it well. They have Chicago sports memorabilia and Bulls replays playing, which how can you lose! Great spot with lots of regulars!!

Ray Ray’s has the best Italian beef anywhere around here. It reminds me of Portillo’s in Chicago, if you know what that is. They make their own giardinara, which I only kinda like. The owner is a huge Bears fan and names the sandwiches after Bear players. My wife loves the “Sweetness” which is an Italian sausage sandwich with red sauce and peppers and onions. It’s also excellent.

I had a rib tip dinner and it was delicioso! The mild baked beans were a little spicy, but good, not giving a low review, but I can’t eat anything even a little spicy. But a great place to eat.

Ordered delivery and My sandwich has so much sauce, the bottom bun is soggy to the point of it being liquid. Fries were soggy and burned…not sure how they managed that. Yes I did order within last 30 minutes but if this is the quality your going to send out, just close down earlier. Disgusted to be honest. Not a thing done right on this one.

I would like to give 3.5 stars. If you have ever tried Johnny’s in greater Chicago area. Ray Ray’s Italian beef is just so so. Beef is very juicy, but a bit plain. Sausage is not that salty, that’s what I like. Price is higher than Chicago. I guess the owner has attachment to Chicago, the city I am from.
