From the staff to the relaxed atmosphere, Rare Bird is the best place to go in Murphy. And the fresh donuts are the most amazing treat. Reminds me of growing up in Michigan, going to the cider mills and getting fresh donuts. This little coffee shop is a gem in the North Carolina Mountains.

Finally got to stop in this week after following the page on FB for a while. Enjoyed a nice hit Breve Latte. It was nice to look around the gift shop while waiting on my coffee. The girls behind the counter were nice. Adorable little drive through available. Will be back next time I’m in Murphy!

We found this spot when searching for coffee as we traveled through Murphy, NC. What a treasure! The coffee and tea offerings are wonderful, and the unique selection of crafts and gifts guarantee that something always leaves with us for ourselves or our grandkids. The staff is wonderfully friendly and helpful as well. Don’t pass this one without stopping!
