Love the food, just wish it wasn’t so salty especially the fries. They always put too much salt. The wait is always long but otherwise this is one of my husband’s favorite places to eat. Not so much mine as I have high blood pressure & can’t have all the salt.

Whew new staff doing their best but manager screaming at them won’t make them great. Oh this is a food review my bad lol. Hit or miss as always. Chicken was cold fries were hot. Boudin balls is a must try and the crawfish egg rolls was a hit. I just want to tell my manager to take some management classes before she tries to manage.

Ordered my meal during a lunch break, once I arrived back to my job, to my surprise I had a little extra spice added to my meal, ANTS! Black ants in my drink, which has been the second occurrence at this particular location! Ants also in the chicken, I immediately threw away the meal and called them to complain. I was asked to bring the food to the restaurant in order to prove that ants were in it! This restaurant needs to be shut down IMMEDIATELY! How are you not aware of insects crawling in your food, horrible customer service!

The food is okay but the service is insanely slow. I think they only have one person working both the front and the back. I ordered online so I didn’t have to wait. Arrived a few minutes late because I didn’t want to have to wait. I’m still sitting here now 15 minutes after the time GrubHub told me it was ready. I give up.

Update 6 months later: from 5 stars to 2… I only gave 2 because the fries were still good. Fist off I was sticking to the floor as I walked. Young lady behine counter was taking orders touching drive through window, counter register and money with thw same gloves she was getting the food with. Do know where they Purchase these baby birds from but they really should be ashamed of their self giving this to the customers but charging the same price I recently came one time before in the chicken was an S mall but I wasn’t good either in this time I had to return the food because the chicken even though sitting under a heat lamp was not hot. That’s with most restaurants they start out real strong but then fail to continue to do what they did to get us can’t say that I’ll be back

DON’T WASTE YOUR $MONEY If I could give zero stars I would. I was born and raised in Houston. The Frenchy’s in 3rd ward is the original and is where you should go if you want to taste Frenchy’s chicken. This location chicken taste like old burnt grease. The chicken pieces are so small they look like penguins not chicken. I ordered fries and rice for the sides. Both where only 3/4 full. I went back and the “kids” working filled both containers. When I told them the chicken was too small the little boy asked do we want him to fix it. Well Duh we said yes…big mistake. We were then giving more pieces which included a fried LEG QUARTER!!! I still regret not asking for a full refund.
