First time here and I loved the decor. It was crowded and we had to wait in line to get seated. Once seated Omggg I loved my drink and Food. Our server was ever so sweet. She was on point, courteous, brought everything as we ate along and explained to us the menu when asked a question. We were celebrating my friends bday. We had appetizers and these little empanadas were delicious. A must try restaurant

So some friends and I decided to get lunch from this restaurant. When I arrived I found parking not too far away. I walked into a really big, nice restaurant. So Alejandro was our server and he was cool until I realized there was a language barrier. I don’t speak Spanish and so he didn’t understand anything I really said. My friend does so she was able to translate a bit.

Beautiful ambiance! Colorful, vibrant atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious and the drinks were awesome and so beautifully presented. I had no issues with the service. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. I recommend this place for a nice 1st date or for a family dinner, either way everyone will enjoy a good food and good salsa music . I am proud to know that a place such as Rancho Mateo exists in my urban city of Elizabeth.

Opened in a new spot nearby old location by train station. Deco and spacing is more than quadruple size of old location. Went to valentines and was able to get seating at bar but wait time was 30mins for party of two of course longer for larger not sure how packed it is when there is no special holiday going on. They do have valet parking. Food seasoning was good but food was lukewarm which may have been because of the holiday but should have taken some care in making sure food was hot. Bartender Christian and girls at the bar were attentive and made amazing drinks and were swift in taking your orders. Will definitely need to try on a less demanding day for temperature of food. Drinks are strong and tasty and perfect for less sweetened ones. Sangria was amazing as well!

I only went there for a drink. What I can tell so far is this place is really AMAZING, I would say the most beautiful place restaurant in Elizabeth. I’m hoping that the food will not be a disappointment when coming back. The service was fine.

Visited for the second time since they moved to the new location. This time, the food was much better than the first. I ordered the Mateo combo and it was delicious. My friends got the bandeja paisa (enough to feed 2), and they loved it. The cocktails are very good and well prepared. Will be returning now that I see improvements were made all around.
