Food was good. Service was SUPER slow. They took drink orders quickly, brought chips and salsa, and then it took half an hour before they came back to take food orders. There were only 4 of us at our table.

7 Siete Leguas used to be our favorite all-time go-to for the BEST Mexican food. Now that they are gone, Rancheros is the next best place around our area. We especially enjoy their outdoor dining patio and their bar. The bathrooms are clean. Their fajitas are not as good as 7 Siete Leguas, but tasty enough to order just to enjoy the venue. The bathrooms are clean, and the service is prompt and friendly. The margaritas are pretty tasty, too. (On a side-note, 7 Leguas still has a restaurant near Lake Conroe on 105.) We still will make the drive up when we feel up to the 25-minute drive.

We had a birthday party and dinner for eight, our waitress was incredibly rude. I ordered beef fajitas, they were tough and chewy.

Such a delicious place to eat at and to sit at the bar. The happy is so worth it. 5pm-7pm. Plenty of parking space

Wait staff was really odd and mute. One guy just appeared and mumbled “do you want something to drink”…. No greeting or anything else… my only response was do you work here…??? I had no idea who he was. The food was extremely blahhhh and the margaritas…. Well, the attached picture…. This was my old glass they removed from the table, only to later serve the same used glass to another member of our table some time later… This is my lipstick… We were absolutely horrified and disgusted! Avoid this place at all costs, because if this is what they are doing with glasses, imagine what they are doing with food

Chips aren’t freh but not bad, no draft beers, clean place, service was average. Food could be better but wasn’t bad. The atmosphere is the best part. This place has the potential to be a hot spot just isn’t there.

Ranchero’s is one of the best Mexican Food restaurants in North Houston. The environment is big, open, comfortable, tavern-like that is meant to hang out and enjoy good food and good times. It also has an adjacent bar attached. The food is authentic, and provided in generous servings. The service is friendly and low-pressure, and the prices are reasonable, especially the lunch menu which is available 7-days a week.
