Ramen Ya is located inside a mall. I went there with a friend. The place was busy when I got there, but we still got seated right away. It’s a small restaurant. Their menu contains pictures of each of the dishes which I really liked. My friend and I got their combo set A, which includes mini ramen, 4 piece gyoza, and one selection. The mini ramen that’s included in this set is shoyu ramen, so if you want a different style ramen, then you have to pay a little extra (nothing crazy). For the selection item, you can pick one from the following: mini fried rice, chicken katsu curry, spam katsu curry, mochiko chicken, beef curry or gyoza curry.

The set menu has huge portions! Had enough leftover for a whole other meal – consider splitting.

Stopped by Ramen Ya with my friend for lunch before heading to the airport and was really impressed! We shared a combo: ramen, gyoza and chicken katsu curry. The ramen and gyoza were pretty average but the chicken katsu curry was definitely the stand-out! The chicken was crispy and there was lots of curry to go with the rice. The combo portion size was HUGE and really affordable, and we left the restaurant happy and full.

We were told Ramen Ya was a great place to eat, and I think it’s dependent on what you order. I found the ramen to be lacking in flavor. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t really tasty, and it’s a ramen place. I’d say skip it and get the fried rice, chicken curry (which was fantastic) or the teriyaki chicken. We saw many people eating the curry and chicken.

The portions are huge. The price is very reasonable and the taste is good. I especially liked the shrimp fried rice and the tan tan ramen. It’s not the best food in the world, but I thought it worth it and worth 5 stars. I would come again. Maybe order one less dish than the number of people since the portions are so large. They don’t have a restroom, so you do have to walk way into Macy’s if you have to go to the restroom.

Delicious! Fast service and tasty food. I wish there was a veggie broth option, but we still love it here. We shared one bowl and a side of tofu and still had leftovers.

First time in Hawaii, visited Queen Ka’ahumanu mall and decided to have lunch at Ramen Ya. Place is tiny with about 7 tables, the ramen are tad bland. However, they have soy sauce to adjust to your tasting. Overall the food was good and affordable with the island outrageous prices.

Went for a late luch and it was pleasantly surprised, great experience. The tonkotsu ramen is fantastic. Chicken katsu is also good. Foods came out fast. Pricing of the combo is ridiculously affordable and portion is huge, well worth the money. We were full and had couple to-go boxes to finish at home. Definitely recommended
