Unlike half of the reviews I’ve seen, I sincerely enjoyed the experience at Rain. The service was top notch, and the food was delicious. I think the standard American’s palates are not used to the flavors of Thai spices, and thus have a strong reaction, whether positive or negative. That said, I think the staff at Rain Thai Bistro do a great job. Thanks guys, I’ll definitely be back.

Eating for many years in this place the food always good and the same in flavor but I missing the lower section decorations was very romantic and cozy.

First time here. The food was alright but not unique. My biggest issue was with the cleanliness of the dining area. The tables were sticky, the menu was sticky! The floor was where the bussers wiped everything from the tables onto. I received a dirty spoon. I’m sure the excuse will be they are short staffed but if a restaurant chooses to cut the cleanliness of the area the customers can see, what does the food prep and kitchen area look like?

It was little better than my expectations. Willing to visit again for chicken satay and thai tea.

Tried this place for the first time, and it was a little better than expected. I ordered the green curry with tofu. I got mild spicy and it was very mild. The tofu was fried, which I enjoyed. I also had the vegetable spring rolls. They were fresh, hot, and the dipping sauce was great. I’m giving it 4 stars because the portion is smaller than what I normally order for the same price.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is okay. Tries to be upscale without the attention to detail. The restaurant is dimly lit to hide the fact that the interior is aged and in need of updates. Service was good. She was attentive but not overbearing. She made sure we had what we needed but allowed us to enjoy our meal and company without constantly interrupting. The food was average. The Spicy Thai Fried Rice was flavorful with light spice and a good sweet basil flavor. The sushi was below average. The sushi lacked any complexity or depth of flavor and under delivered compared to how it used to be. The salmon my wife ordered was cooked very well and had a good flavor but was not any better than what you can get from other places for a better price. The tempura appetizer was excellent. Not over cooked and the sauce served with it was lightly sweet and worked well with all the tempura veggies. Would go there again but not my first choice for the area.

I have only had Thai a few times in my life, and I enjoyed it. I had a hankering to try it again. Rain is the one and only Thai restaurant I have been to in the Chattanooga area. I am always sure to go on special occasions as my whole family enjoys it. My two girls can have their sushi, my son can have chicken tenders, and I can have my Thai.

Incredibly underwhelming. I love Thai food and was really excited to try this. I ordered the classic pad Thai without chicken (it comes with shrimp, chicken, and tofu). It didn’t come with eggs or green onions, and the tofu was so small it was almost non-existent. I had asked for tofu, shrimp and vegetables with everything except the chicken. There wasn’t any veggies, not even the green onions. I asked for it hot, and it was mild. The server was nice, the place is nice. The spring rolls were pretty, but not very flavorful. They came with a soy type sauce however, I prefer a peanut sauce. Will not be returning. Cleveland has a much better Thai restaurant called Fuji Teriyaki Express. Drive the 30 min there instead. It was 34$ (with tip) for spring rolls and pad Thai. Super disappointed.
