I am a regular here and last Friday I was craving some Raimo’s pizza so I get there and when trying to order I was being overlooked and skipped by everyone. Then when I finally got to order my food I waited a long time before stepping up and trying to ask about my order. Still being skipped by everyone the workers didn’t even acknowledge my existence. By now I’m thinking to myself my food must be burnt. It was only because a worker seen my food getting burnt that he took it out of the oven and asked aloud who ordered it. The service was just so unacceptable and what was worse is when I got home I opened the box and seen this. I should’ve never paid for this. To say I was angry would be an understatement.

Years ago this place was amazing. They had the best regular slice! Sent my brother two towns away to pick up 3 plain pies for a family gathering and it was average at best. Totally lost whatever zest made the slice special! Also he asked for sesame seeds on crust and they said yes, but did not put on our crust! Will not be returning. Not worth the drive.

When on Long Island, Raimo’s is the Italian spot of choice. The “to go” experience was just that.. Place your order, pay, wait then go. While the gentleman that took my order was kind and friendly, his focus wasn’t on the experience. The pizza was pretty good with just the right amount of cheese (no complaints there), the garlic knots were cooked a little too long and the Zeppoles (not sure if I spelled that correctly) Italian food lovers may know about this tasty treat The large Zeppoles offered too much dough and not enough powdered sugar. Location…great, Food…ok, Service…ok.

Just heads up. Ordered a baked ziti here and there was no ricotta. Just pasta and sauce with mozzarella on top. If I wanted just pasta and sauce. I would have order a spaghetti. Just sticking with plain pizza moving forward.

I went in for plain wings and had to wait very long for bad service. I saw when my order came out and so did he (owner) whoever the guy is with hair in his ears. He took care of everyone’s order even people who came in after me and made sure to look for their order and made sure they had everything. With me he chose never to ask, look or anything. In frustration and hunger I walked out before another employee noticed my dissatisfaction and bring me my order in 2 seconds! I won’t jump on the “race” wagon yet but be advised if you go in there.

I just had a horrible experience at this place ! Just like many others I’ve been coming here for years since I was a kid. But what I experienced today I won’t ever allow again. Sat with my mom for a couple of slices I’m patiently waiting to get helped . They guy attending the customers deliberately ignored me and helped people that arrived after me. As I was waiting I saw how a Caucasian male order his food to stay and the same guy told him you can pay after you eat. He did this for multiple people. And when it came time for me to order, (mind you my mother and I ordered to stay) he charged me right on the spot. In my mind how is his money any better than mine ?! Only because he is of a different race than me . A place where I’ve been going to since I was a kid would do this to me . I will never spend another $ dollar here ever again ! If I could do no stars I would !! I

Ramos can be a hit or miss. I’ve been coming here for many years and spent a lot of money over those years. Quality has come and gone and then come back. The biggest issue here is inconsistency. A meal that you order one time might be perfect but the next time it’s made by somebody completely different and doesn’t taste anything like it once did. They have a habit of allowing plastic from the lids to break into the food and aluminum foil to stick to the cheese on the heroes. I know these are good dudes but they got to get the consistency up. One of the thing I’d like to add is they have a habit of not listening to what you’re asking them at all. You may order food a certain way and it doesn’t come that way. Other than that I’ve never had bad food here again, just not consistent. Although recently pizza slices have been tasting like the laundromat that’s further down in the same shopping center.

I moved to Maryland just over 2 years ago and the pizza here is nothing compared to NY pizza so last week I went back to NY to celebrate my birthday with my family and we had a wedding on Sunday, but Saturday I stopped in Raimo’s pizza and had the marinara Sicilian slice I ate that slice so slowly to savor every bite it was so good that I’m sorry that I didn’t bring a pie back home with me to freeze

Probably the best cheese slice in Freeport. That’s after eating 7 years of pizza in this vicinity. A bit crowded to order standing in line. Also no delivery sadly… PRICE is very fair compared to others for a slice and I think that is a huge draw for the locals.
