I hate to say this, but the truth must be told. Based on other reviews, I had the highest of high hopes for this place. But I was sorely disappointed. Let me say first, though, that the people who work here are very nice and the price you pay is very low. Unfortunately, the low price is reflected in the quality of the food. It’s not that it tastes bad, but it is just incredibly bland. Bland city, man. I got a fresh cheeseburger and it was just OK, with scarce toppings and no flavor. Bland. The hot dog was even worse, with the dog having no taste, the slaw being too sweet, and the chili…how do I adequately convey how bland this chili was? It was dry and tasteless. I’m not exaggerating: nary a trace of chili seasoning anywhere. Fries were decent. No fountain drinks, so I had sweet tea, which was good.

Poor Service from Waitresses, especially Tina. The one who comes to work drinking alcohol. Edith, our waitress, was very RUDE!!! The eggs suked, bacon wasn’t cooked well. They act like Everyone loves grape jelly. One minute they are out of Apples, then they reappear!! They need BETTER WAITRESSES at Railroad Cafe.
