I was so excited to come to this place. Awesome historic building with a great looking rooftop bar! To be fair this is only a review of the rooftop bar. I haven’t tried the actual restaurant. So anyway, we ordered two Michelob Ultras and 2 Vegas bombs with crown apple. Pretty standard stuff. Well tell me why the bartender was using a measuring cup to measure each ingredient for the shot. I don’t ever see anyone do that. Not a deal breaker but not impressed at all. After that he realized they don’t have any red bull. So he asked me what else can I use to make it taste good. I looked at him like I’m not the bartender. We settled on just giving me a refund for the shots. I actually saw smoke come out of his ears trying to figure out how to refund the shots. I should have told him to refund my tip… I liked the atmosphere but that’s it. $9 for a beer is way too much for Navasota period. If y’all going to invest all this money on such a great location get a better bartender. Do better

From beginning to end the service was outstanding. The sweet hostess brought all her Texas Charm out as she greeted us on July 4th. This was a pleasant surprise since most people working on a Holiday are not happy. The atmosphere is warm and rustic. The menu offers a variety of apps, soups, burgers and oysters. This place has something for everyone. Oh yeah and the whiskey smash, looked amazing. We stopped in for salads. We ordered the roasted beet salad and the Ceasar with grilled shrimp. Each salad was Texas size and made fresh, including the dressings that to our delight came on the side. We also tried the Tomatoe bisque soup, which was full of tomatoes and flavor. Looking forward to coming back to their roof top patio for a Comedy show or a live band, and of course one of the signature drinks. Situated in the heart of Navasota, there is a vibrant energy, from the locally owned shops and restaurants. Come spend the day or the night, a historic hotel sits adjacent to this corner establishment.

I got here after a long day of work, just wanted to try somewhere new as I’m new to town. The bartenders were really nice! KJ was very kind and welcoming. Both bartenders were quick to help me get my drink and made my night! I’ll be back again!!

We reserved the banquet room for my mother’s 60th Surprise Birthday Party. Julie was extremely helpful in making my mom’s special day beautiful, organized, and just perfect! I loved the communication and her attention of detail! She made the process easy and successful. The room was beautiful and we had enough space for plenty of tables for dining, desert and buffet tables, cocktail tables, and a 10ft photo backdrop! (We had over 60 guests!) After the private party, our guests kept the night going on the rooftop bar! They had LIVE music and plenty to drink! So exited we chose Rail & Rye as our venue!

Whenever we dine out, we always have critical taste buds so it won’t make us regret paying for the food that we can actually make at home. Our first time at Rail & Rye and we enjoyed our sumptuous dinner from appetizers to entrées. The interior and exterior of the restaurant is beautifully crafted in this small town, and even their rooftop is a storyteller! Comfortable ambience, tasty food. I would have given this an experience a 5 however when it came to paying our tickets, there was a huge mix up and it kind of delayed our night.

The food is good. Place is instagrammable! But the only problem we had was a messed up with the bills. They have to void the card like 3x before they got it correctly. Otherwise, good place to dine in.

Really nice atmosphere in a charming town. We sat on the rooftop. The cocktails were just OK and pricey, but the food was good. We had the crawfish queso, seafood Alfredo and the Caesar salad. Will go again for the food and the atmosphere, but probably won’t order cocktails again.

We had our son’s wedding rehearsal dinner at the Rail & Rye. The accommodations, atmosphere, and staff are outstanding. Gloria was extremely easy to work with in coordinating our event from start to finish with numerous changes along the way. Nothing seemed to rattle her. The roof top bar and live music being on the same level as the event room was wonderful. A beautiful venue with an outstanding staff. We highly recommend the Rail & Rye without hesitation. Love this place!

I live about 30 minutes away, and I’ll be back. The food, service, and atmosphere were great. We had chicken fried chicken, R&R burger, garlic mashed potatoes, French fries, green beans, and apple cobbler with ice cream. It was all delicious with fresh ingredients all around. This would be a great venue for small groups to large gatherings with 3 floors and two patios.
