Great customer service! The boudin pepper Jack cheese balls are to die for. I came from California and each time I came, Candy (Paula) was very sweet and welcoming. She reminded me of my grandmother. Next time I’m in town I’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you to the entire team for your great customer service and for going above and beyond. We appreciate you ❤️

I ordered the shrimp poboy with a side of onion rings. After waiting about ten minutes, my number was called. I then sank my teeth in what is probably the freshest tastiest shrimp poboy I’ve ever had. The onion rings were also very tasty. Everything was perfectly prepared. After eating my meal, I then purchased some meat from their meat market. I purchased pork chops, ribeye, sausage, and stuffed chicken to take home for the grill. I’ll report back with a review.

Stopped here while on a trip and the service here was good, very patient and helpful, the place was pretty busy. Food came out quick but the fried fish was pretty bland. Some of the things we got tasted like they were sitting out for a while. The burger was decent. No one really finished anything they ordered…

First visit as we continue to explore Cajun Country and we fell in love with it. The boudin was very good. And we spied this jet black clump of something. “Is that ham hock?” “No. That is tasso.” We knew we had to have this deep dark smoked tasso and on the way back to Houston, we did our second stop, picking up the tasso and some boudin. On the way out for our adventure with Chef John Folse, we sampled one of their Monterey Jack boudin balls and it was very good.

One of the busiest Cajun restaurant/store around! Well known across LA and by neighboring states! You can buy freshly cooked and frozen! They are very used to a crowd and have multiple people to assist whatever you want to eat and has plenty of cold drinks and multiple tables to eat there if you like. HIGHLY RECOMMEND going here as they’ve been in business for many many years! Everything they sell is amazing and will not be disappointed! Also recommend bringing a cooler if you buy as much as we do since we buy enough for the day and fill the freezer to use and eat later:)

I actually walked out. It was kinda busy. I called a order in prior to arrival, once it was my turn in line the fall just handed me my order ticket and didn’t say anything, I wanted to order some sausage and some drinks and she just shoved me to the side and helped other customers, I stood there for another 15 mins, and decided to go to the other register and once again waited in line and once my turn the lady acted like I committed a crime for standing in the line and said if it was ready they would have called you. I once again went to order my bags of sausage and was asked to move and she started helping the other customer. I then walked over to the freezer side opening and could see my order sitting there and asked if I could get my order to check out and they lady ignored me. So I walked out. I have never been treated this way there before. But I can tell you I can always go to Herbert’s Meats in Lake Charles. I would really make sure the new people should be there. Because there customer service skills are needed some performance coaching forsure.

We’ve purchased smoked sausage in the grocery store so we were interested to stop at the restaurant and see what they had to offer. I must say, it was no disappointment!!! We had the fully dressed cheeseburgers and they tasted every bit of homemade. It was devoured before I could take a picture. We also picked up boudin, crackling and potato wedges
