A tad on the expensive side but overall quality of the food is good. Wide selection of things to choose from and a large drink menu. They do have a pretty solid happy hour that I’ll have to check out next time. The inside is really spacious and is very clean. I would come back again.

It’s been a hike since we have come to RA Sushi. We have been to this location multiple times when we lived in Irvine 10+ years ago. The decor of the restaurant hasn’t changed since they opened this place when the district shopping center was opened in 2007 or there so. Service was mediocre. We had reservations and they sat us promptly. Our server was very pushy and started by talking to our kids about their mock tails even though onbvioslu they weren’t interested. I told him I don’t drink because I am driving and he kept suggesting to my wife to order the bigger beer bottle so she can share with me. Our food came out any different times. Chicken Katzu came out first without the steam rice and miso soup. Likely 15-20 minutes later the two sushi rolls out. 5 minutes later the sushi burrito and another roll and finally my steak and chicken hibachi. We had complained to another waiter after we had to wait such a long time after the chicken Katzu for the rest of our food and she said that their kitchen was busy! Oh talk about a salesy waiter. I wanted a fillet mignon hibachi and he kept telling me that I should get filet and colossal shrimp combo ;). My steak and chicken was great. Steak was cooked perfectly and chicken was tasty however the fried rice tasted sour and funny. The tools were ok and chicken Katzu was nothing to write home about. Lots of interesting patrons with interesting choice of attire.

We always have a wonderful experience here. Their waitstaff can be a bit overwhelmed at times, leading to long waits between interactions, but once you get your food that’s not too much of a problem at all! Their Happy Hour deals and times are reasonable, and keep us coming back over many other places in the area. The rolls taste amazing and the drinks are delicious too.

4th rate sushi, was surprised how awful the food was. A big disappointment. So many places in OC to eat and this place was bad pic is of Pork dumplings…like fried tater tots, had lots of different items. Not one was palatable. Sauce like baby food.

Was in the area for Expo West and looking for some good sushi while in California and Ra did not disappoint. We were seated at the sushi bar, so it was fun to watch the rolls get made and to see the quality of the ingredients being used. I had the sweet mango roll and the eel hand roll as well as the garlic edemame, and they were all stellar. Honestly some of the best sushi I’ve had and served quickly. The atmosphere was nice and the servers and sushi chef were kind and courteous. Would definitely recommend and wish I had one in MT, so I could try more of their rolls and dishes. Everything I saw go out looked incredible.

It wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t great, just kind of ok. The whole place felt a little confused and disorganized. The sashimi we had was pretty good and we also tried a specialty roll, which was tasty. The rice was inexcusably bad. It wasn’t sticky rice and it was really stale, like it had been reheated from the previous day. Our first server (Rocky) was really nice, but then the second server that brought our food wasn’t aware of some of the requests we made like for a second bowl of rice. She seemed more concerned that we were trying to get free rice than getting our order right. The food came out of order with the miso soup served after entrees. The last thing I’ll say is that this place seems to have kind of an identity crisis. It has really great decor and the lighting is well done, like a high class restaurant with a phenomenal bar, but the staff wear t-shirts that say things like “Miso Happy” and there are advertisements for their rewards club that say “Want to hook up?” I can’t tell if they are trying to appeal to jr. high students or single professionals or all the above. Again, not terrible, but not great, just kind of ok.
