We have made many stops to R & M’s Boiling Point. The food has always been good and we would encourage anyone to try them out. Some of our favorite meals are the Grill and Boiled Shrimp. These are some pictures from our last few trips.

Great cajun style food! We were looking for some alligator and there were a few options. Good food and take out is available

The boiling point is very busy on the weekends. You need to get there around 5:00 PM on Saturdays, if you’re eating dinner. I gave it 5 stars because it’s the perfect setup for eating crabs and other seafood. The crabs were full when we ate there. Also, the atmosphere is very family-friendly. The food was delicious, they have various seafood dishes to order from the menu.

While the food was good, service was blah, waitresses seemed either overworked or they didn’t care. Years ago this place was amazing. I’ll take into consideration the economy and rising cost of food and the fact that people just lack work ethics now days. But to pay almost 70 dollars for only a couple pieces of fish and some frozen mini crab cakes that were served on a struggling paper plate …… also no free refills for drinks. I guess because it came in cans. I was extremely disappointed that this was not the place it used to be after I bragged to my sister about it.

Crabs were big, not all real full, but these were tasty. I always expect boil seafood in restaurants are dry. If they would only double boil. But it’s not a timely manner. Service was greatly better than way back, which is a plus.

Excellent local seafood, full bar, great service. Our server Mackenzie took great care of us, answered all our questions, even mixed the tasty cocktails. My mom loved the gumbo too.

We were passing through this area on the way home. We were hungry but didn’t want burgers or chicken. I saw the sign with what looked like a Craw fishing it, and thought Louisiana, probably a good place to eat seafood. Boy was I right! Walked in to a very large dining room met by friendly staff and seated immediately. Ordered appetizers, stuffed jalapeno and “Hazel” onion rings in honor or my grandmother. Onion rings were hands down the best I’ve ever had. The batter was light and crunchy, well seasoned cut to a perfect size, the onion delicious.

Had dinner here Friday May 26. Food was great. Some of the best Fried Catfish you will have anywhere. Wife had the Catfish on the Teche. Miss Megan provided great service. Good cold beer and cocktails. Clean establishment. For a Friday night, they had a good crowd, but no waiting to get a table. I would recommend and return.

The food was great and fresh. We got there around 5 for dinner. By the time we finished, they were telling other patrons that they had sold out. They also had sinks in the dining area, which was an unexpected yet welcome feature. I would recommend this place if you love crab and crawfish.

Best boiled crawfish I ever had. Momma had the fried crawfish and potato salad she said some of the tails were a little over cooked and potato salad was awful. My sister had the fried oysters and said they were really good. I’d go back for sure.
