We were looking for an inexpensive place to have some decent home-cooked food. We discovered R&F Restaurant. Outside the building is not impressive, but there is adequate off street parking. Inside it’s a standard dining room, except for a wonderful antique organ that supposedly works. First impressions should not always guide one’s decision, and we were pleasantly surprised by the hard working young man who seated us and then took our orders. We had a chicken pot pie and a turkey dinner. He’s now working hard to make his life happen where he wants to be. He chose to come back here to work after trying out the big city (SLC) and not liking it. I wish him well.

What a find. The food was surprisingly good. Chicken wings was great. Their California veggie sandwich with avocados was yummy. As was their quesadilla. A great pitstop in this little town with population of 2000 people.

Very good homemade food. Real potatoes, not instant. Real veggies, not frozen peas & carrots. All around, a really decent meal. They need to work on their curb appeal cause the place doesn’t look exciting when you drive up. But, well worth stopping for simple and tasty American fare.

Great food!! Don’t let the outdated building and decor fool you; the food was delicious. We had burgers and steak and they were perfectly done. The fries were crispy and perfect. My only recommendation is that if you just want a salad for dinner go for the all you can eat option because the plates are TINY. My salad was scrumptious too. The only complaint is that the chairs at our table were upholstered and they were filthy-they gotta go! Replace them with wooden ones like the other tables.

I had breakfast here with my family. The pancakes are great! My eggs and bacon were cooked just how I liked them. My wife got the spinach and feta omelette and did not enjoy the feta, but that isn’t the restaurant’s fault. They brought actual coloring books and a big bucket of crayons for the kids to color while we waited for the food. The waitress was friendly and attentive. Definitely worth another visit on the next trip through.

Overpriced and crappy food. We had the 3 piece fried chicken meal. It was OK. It tasted like it was fried in old oil and there wasn’t a lot of meat on it. What meat there was, was dry. The serving sizes were tiny. The gravy was bland, the zucchini was really limp and they are understaffed on waiters. The busy waitress forgot our soup and rolls (served with margarine, not butter) and got one of our party’s order wrong but you could tell she was overwhelmed and busy. It’s about a 3/10 as far as truck stop food goes. Salad bar is a 4/10. Prices are WAY high for what you get. Bathroom was fairly clean.

Once you find the place it’s certainly worth eating here. Food was excellent. Wednesday night is Mexican food night (along with all the normal menu items). The fresh homemade salsa rivals anything I’ve had elsewhere. Great service and reasonably priced. Hopefully I can try breakfast next time I’m through the area.
