We enjoyed the visit… A very community driven area, especially on Saturday! The farmer’s market is across the street.

Hands down one of the best hotdogs I’ve ever eaten; the brisket chili and perfect dog preparation is stellar, but that bun quality takes it to another level- toasty & buttery. The homemade butter pickles give it another interesting depth of flavor.

This is a fantastic barbecue joint. You are not gonna find anything better on the North Shore. I went to get ribs and they were out, which, if you know anything about barbecue is a good thing. That means that they are smoking up the ribs and then selling out that day, which means you’re not getting leftovers or old stuff from the previous day. Any BBQ enthusiast will tell you that if you go to a barbecue place late in the day and they’ve sold out of a main dish, it’s probably a really good barbecue joint. This is the case at the Pyre. Since they were out of ribs, I got the pulled pork and I must say it was absolutely great. (I have had their ribs in the past and they are also delicious). Their sides are exceptional. The place is clean. It’s a fun place to hang out at, with a nice bar and a super friendly staff. Great food and a great atmosphere, you can’t really ask for much more than that, but the Pyre gives more by flying both the American flag and a Marine Corps flag out front. So great food, great atmosphere, and they are patriotic, I wish I could give them six stars.

This is hands down the best hidden spot in Old Mandeville. The food is incredible. The Brussels are a game changer. The pulled pork is the best(y’all I make pulled pork for parties and gathering- I now just get in from the best BBQ spot in St Tammany Parish). The wings are out of this world, crispy on the outside and wow juicy on the inside. The smash burger let me just say if you are looking for a true good burger this it IT!! A comfort burger at its best. Let me not even start on the sides. Carrots and cauliflower are mind blowing!! This is a truly come sit be at home local place to enjoy lunch and dinner. The staff is always welcoming, they really make you feel at home. I really can’t not give enough starts to recommend how incredibly appetizing this hidden gem is.

Sorry guys, the Food was a major let down. Onion rings were soaked in oil. Chicken was super dry. Brisket, was an up charge & we had to send it back because it was inedible. The beans were straight from a can. The sweet tea was horrible and had to be swapped for a fountain drink. There were fly’s everywhere. There was a very loud group that made things even worst… For over $60 it was pitiful. Dickey’s delivers superior BBQ for a fraction of the cost…

I have heard a lot of good things about this place and was extremely disappointed in my food. We ordered from the table (QR code) and our food took forever to be served. We had no service. My brisket was cold, not even remotely warm. My friend got brisket nachos and they were very sloppy and unappealing, also cold. The atmosphere is great and would be fine, except for the nonexistant service. I MIGHT try again, only because of all of the good things I’ve heard from people I trust. If I based it on first experiences, I wouldn’t go back and would not recommend it to anyone. Really disappointing.

I love the wings, smash burgers, and smoked chicken! The owners are very personable and always working hard in the kitchen or out running food! Our family regularly visit Pyre in Mandeville and love the patio when they have concerts outside. We also started using Pyre for catering events and have been very satisfied with the quality.

The meats are great when in stock. Many times I have gotten there and been told there are no ribs. The daqueries are great (according to my wife – and as a happily married man her opinion becomes my opinion). There is limited seating, temperature control inside usually sucks but is better than outside, and for some reason they put Cheez-Its on their Mac & cheese, which brings down the Mac and cheese (which isn’t the best to start with).

Working in the area, a group of us decided to give Pyre a shot. Not having a extra change of clothes… getting bbq on a weekday can be a risky proposition. I had the burger and added the egg to it for a few bucks more. Also split the brisket eggrolls, since they came highly recommended. The burger was spot on and really did the trick with a some homemade potato chips on the side… but the brisket egg rolls were unstoppable! Next time I’m all in on the eggrolls, despite the really good burger I had just devoured moments before. I waddled all the way back to the car and barely stayed awake the rest of the day. What a fantastic lunch!

Love Pyre! The BBQ is delicious but what I crave are those brussels! Staff are always super friendly and helpful and the craft/small batch daiquiris are amazing!
