The best Italian restaurant I have been to outside of Italy. My wife and I had a perfect meal here, all the pasta is homemade and everything we ordered was spot on. Our family has traveled to Italy quite a few times and this restaurant evokes the palate, visual stimulation and atmosphere that’s consistent with casual fine dining in Italy. The staff was welcoming and had great recommendations, the clientele in the restaurant were all chatty and happily drinking wine. I couldn’t recommend this place more highly.

Have had good previous experiences at Pulia, but last night, a Tuesday, was not good. There were 5 in our group. When we arrived at 5.30 only one other table was occupied. Service was prompt and our orders came out quickly. The caprese salad was tasteless and the advertised “Jersey tomatoes” were not local. There were French fries in with the Calamari. I ordered the Langoustines which were over cooked and smothered in red pepper which removed any flavor that might have been left. I wish I’d asked for it to be taken off our bill, at $70 I should have. My granddaughter ordered the smoked salmon pasta, but it was regular salmon and she didn’t like it. The other pasta dishes were very small portions. I ordered a side of spinach to share, it was barely enough for one. When we left only a couple more tables were occupied and no wonder at these prices and quality of the food served. We won’t be going back!

As much as I’d like to like this place because I believe that the owner is trying to provide an authentic Italian food experience I can’t. Had dinner there recently with 3 others. Chicken Parm is $39 and was inedible. Sent it back. Tough, stringy and poor quality. Doesn’t even come with a side – pasta side is extra. Veal Parm is $49 and also comes with nothing. No salad, no side, no veggies. Waitstaff is full of excuses but gets nothing done to improve the experience. How this guy comes up with these prices then delivers customers a $15 experience is beyond me. Won’t eat here again.

Calamari app was terrible, frozen with frozen French fries. Entree, Chicken Parm, very small, thin and very tough, plus , for 4 more bucks you got 8 pieces of rigatoni! before the rigatoni it was already 38.00==42.00! A one stop wonder. sorry! The server was very sweet.

The saliente salad was delicious. The addition of the Buffalo Mozzarella in the salad was well received. My wife and I shared the brick oven Margarita pizza that was excellent.

The food was absolutely excellent. So very well prepared. The only issue is that I ordered a special and was not told how much it would cost…and it was pricey. It was delicious….but had I known the price ($75.00 for four baked langostinos) I probably would have ordered the branzino! My husband had a dish called Nona’s ragu and it was fantastic. The dessert…a pistachio ricotta pie..was out of this world. So light! The servers were very polite and efficient and the owner greeted us kindly when we walked in. We went rather early (6:00) and it wasn’t too busy. Things certainly got busier by the time we left…so I really think you need a reservation. Just one suggestion…maybe turn the music down a bit. We will certainly go back to Pulia, and this time we’ll bring friends!

I visited today with my husband for our valentine’s weekend getaway. This restaurant was amazing, it took me straight back to Italy. I spent two months in Italy and this restaurant definitely felt authentic and the food was delicious. Also I am allergic to gluten, and the chef was very accommodating to make me gluten free pasta and made the recommendation of having it with their mushroom with truffle sauce dish. It was so good! He was very welcoming and helpful. Would 100% recommend this restaurant and come back again.

VERY DISAPPOINTING. They advertise a 40$ 3-course dinner on their website , but they don’t have it . They don’t serve any alcohol (you can bring your own), but you discover when you order. Pizza is ok, but they claim it to be Naple style , and it’s not (I’m from Italy , I know what a Naple style pizza is) .They claim to use fresh buffalo mozzarella on Margherita pizza , and what I got was just regular mozzarella. AND worst thing of all , an average quality very small slice of ricotta cake charged 14$!!!! A true rip-off!
