I sat at the bar. I had the Tater Tots. This was an outstanding dish! Just the perfect amount of this and that. I also had the spicy margarita. They have some interesting cocktails to choose from. They could probably use one more bartender to bump that service to 5 star. Great staff.

We went to the Provender 08/22/23 right when they opened. We had a reservation for 4pm and didn’t realize that was the time they opened, so we got there just a couple minutes early. Staff were so welcoming and sat us immediately. The atmosphere was great. We got cocktails, appetizers, entrees, and desserts – all were amazing! My husband and I both agreed that the prices were very appropriate for the portion size and quality of the food. We will definitely be returning!

Our favorite Downeast restaurant. Plenty of people dressed casual, but also well suited for a fancy night out. The food is to die for. If in doubt, get the truffle fries and PKB burger. But every menu item we’ve had has been the best version of it we’ve had. The bartenders also do an excellent job… this is the first place since moving to Maine that has nailed my drink of choice.

This was by far the best dining experience I’ve had in Maine in 4 years of being here. The ambiance and feel of the place feel like my favorite Belgian bar, very cozy and warm. Food was stellar, best duck I have been served in 5+ years and a killer rare hanger steak. If you want an good vibe and an arty, heady dining experience this is it. Bravo!

This was the best meal of our entire honeymoon and perhaps it might be the best meal of our entire lives. Everything about Provender was perfect! The food, the atmosphere, and the service were top notch! We ordered the bison tartare for an appetizer, and the pesto chicken and steak dishes for our entrees and ended the evening with lemon meringue. All of our dishes were perfectly balanced and you could taste the love and care in every bite! We were able to meet the chef, Daron and thank him in person for the meal! Just so you know, in order to eat here you need to book an online reservation that would take a deposit to hold your spot. After your meal you will be refunded your deposit! If you can get a reservation, this is an absolute must do!!!

My family were not fans of their vegan options… very bland with off-putting textures. The “gravy” which smothered my dish ruined all chances of tasting any other flavors. If I were rating them solely on food, I’d have to give two stars. However, the service was great and our waitress was incredibly friendly, which were redeeming qualities. This place has potential (props to them for trying to include plant-based options) but they just missed the mark. It was also surprisingly pricey, which I don’t normally comment on, but whew.
