Went to proud rooster many times during undergrad for breakfast and finally made it back a few years later. This will always be one of my favorite hidden gems in Clifton. You cannot beat the prices especially for the quality of food. This time I finally tried the fried chicken and it was so good! Hope to make it back again soon when I am in Cincinnati one time as this place is such a good eat. It is cash only- which we knew going in as we’ve been before but just a heads up if you’ve never been. We’ve gotten all kinds of things on the menu before from pancakes to French toast to omelettes, hoagies and more and have never been disappointed.

Waited until after my boyfriend (black) sat down to tell us we couldn’t sit down there they had a catering order to take care of even tho he paid for the food already. So we couldn’t sit just to get our food that was paid for but the 2 white families in the back could sit and eat still. Won’t be going back the older man cook was very rude.
