This was my second visit, I had to come back for the braised short rib … it was absolutely phenomenal! Super tender and tasty. The vegetables were Divine. I also had those sweet, corn crab fritters I think this is my favorite meal ever in life.

We wanted to really like this place and were looking forward to dining here, but the food was greatly below average. We got the avocado toast and truffle egg croissant (both hard to mess up generally). The croissant was worse than what you get at a fast food restaurant, it was soft, small and flat. The avocado toast wasn’t also very average, the bread was soggy and wasn’t toasted well. The avocado was not fresh either. Both were around $17 dollars, which we thought was a rip off. The hotel itself and space was very pretty however. Maybe worth it for a drink at the bar.

I took my friend her for her birthday lunch. We ordered our food with family style in mind (we ordered a few dishes and shared) it’s a great way to try more dishes. We loved all of the dishes we choose. This restaurant is beautiful inside and out. Our waiter was amazing. They bring you your check in a book which is a cute touch.

Food was prepared excellently, although there was waaaay too much butter left on top of the steaks as they were served. Service left a little bit to be desired… we had to request small plates for our starters after they had already been served, had to request the table be cleared of the appetizers as they were trying to put our entrees down, they seemed to keep forgetting our requests (sugar for the coffee, additional libations), took a long time to bring cocktails to the table. Other than that, I’d go back and give them another try.

Overall good breakfast/brunch. The smoked salmon platter was my favorite item we ordered over the weekend. Since we stayed at The Ben we had brunch here a few times. Servers were friendly but would disappear for a while. On two occasions I needed a server and they took quite a while to return. My husband said the pancakes and French toast (not pictured) were very average. The breakfast potatoes had little flavor but the omelette was tasty. Finally, the truffle croissant sandwich was quite good.
