I know it’s been open for a few months, but we’ve simply not had a hankering for subs until today.

This is just a test to see if Google would allow you to review a place that doesn’t even exist yet. Basically like all the product reviews that you read on other websites of things the people haven’t received or used yet. LoL

The Hogies were delicious and the meat and toppings were so fresh. The only reason it got 4 out of 5 is the bread. It’s delicious but some may have a hard time chewing it as it is very chewy and a little hard. I loved it, but some in the party had a tough time.

I really try to enjoy this place. I like to find places other than jersey mikes that I can support. Every time I’ve had a hoagie from here it has been terrible. Made the decision again to give them another shot, just horrible. Bread is always rock hard and stale, and the meat is tasteless. Not to mention it’s like $15 for a hoagie, never again.

Man some of these older reviews were kinda harsh. This place is great. I discovered Primos back in philly area. And I think they are the best. Seems pricey until you compare the quality of meats and cheeses snd the bread! The bread is the best part. Their 9 inch is more filling than a footlong somewhere else. Try the dirt puddings too. Excellent

I walked in and immediately felt the eyes of here comes another one( meaning a customer). My first time in- it was dead at 7:30 on a Thursday night which was my second indication something was going to be off. $20 for a 9” hoagie and a root beer. I’ve been in this business, too long to not notice certain things.

I am not one to leave reviews but in this case I am going to make an exception This was by FAR the best Philly cheese steaks I have ever had the sweet peppers were a delightful addition balancing out the richness from the steak and cheese. 100% would recommend

Full disclosure: I’m a chef and relatively picky. Was going to stop at their competitor but missed the turn so I thought I would give Primo a try. Opted for the 9″ philly cheese steak. Menu is kinda busy, took me a while to find it. Cashier asked me what I wanted on it. I just assumed it would be a traditional cheese steak, peppers, onions, cheese so I told her nothing. So I ended up with just cheese and steak on a bun. Disappointing, but let’s chalk that up to miscommunication. More disappointing was the insane amount of sesame seeds on the bun. Wow. Now when you get a hamburger bun with sesame seeds you can’t really taste the sesame seeds , it’s more of a garnish. But it’s also because sesame seeds don’t have much flavor unless well toasted. The sesame hoagie roll here was well toasted and the sesame seeds had an overpowering flavor. It’s all I could taste. It had a lot of meat on it, but bland. Sesame was the predominant flavor. I still taste them an hour later. Now maybe it’s Primo’s thing, what sets them apart, but I think it’s a going to be a tough sell for most Americans.

Best place in Pittsburgh to grab a hoagie. Fantastic menu items you can’t find anywhere else, great hardworking people, very friendly. The owner Mike makes you feel like family when you are there.

Very nice people and it all seemed like quality ingredients. I just like hoagies that are cooked or baked. Hoagies are hot. Subs are cold.
