Very nice surprise. The special was spaghetti w meat sauce, salad and garlic bread. It smelled delicious. I gotta try that next time. I went with the French Dip. It was falling apart and i think it was a chuck roast. No weird bites. It was totally lean beef someone took pride in. The ladies that helped me were great. Sherri and Lolita were very polite. Don’t pass this place up.

Very clean and cute establishment. We had the breaded chicken salad and breaded cajun tenderloin and both were delicious. The sandwhich came with a sweet and savory sauce that was yummy. Used it on the sandwhich and the sweet potato crinkle fries.

When we arrived, two elderly people were in front of us and immediately denied seating/asked to leave by the only waitress/hostess working. They left and a table opened right as they left – I felt bad for them for getting a “we had no tables” vs. a “there’s a few minute wait.” I felt bad as it’s a holiday weekend and they were elderly and seemed very excited to get out! We (my mother and grandmother) then sat at the open table and did not receive water or menus for about 15 minutes. The lady working was distant and annoyed, even giving the food runner a look when we went to get menus for ourselves. I understand being understaffed, but the service was sub par and the food was not worth the rude service.

Decided to stop for lunch while traveling. Great choice. Had the Niner burger and the daily special, beef and noodles. Both were superb. Fueled us up for the day driving. Super service too. Stop whenever you’re in the area.

I’ve been here several times when visiting family. I’ve had the pork tenderloin a couple of times. It truly needs to be entered in Iowa’s best tenderloin contest. They have a regular breaded tenderloin, and they have a Cajun seasoned breaded tenderloin. I’ve had both, and they are both excellent.

Our server came and said she would be right back a few minutes after we got there. We sat for 15 minutes with no drinks and got up and went to the Mexican place across the street. I understand being busy but 15 minutes with not even a glass of water is ridiculous!

Every time I call to get a couple of orders to go they tell me everytime over the phone that they are not taking to go orders! I can even call right when they open and they tell me the same thing! Use to be great at to get a order to go now you might as well say you don’t do to go orders!
