This place isn’t flashy or fancy. It’s an old school steak house that’s been around for what seems like forever. The food is great and very reasonably priced. The staff is professional and courteous. And they have ice cream!

Came here on a recommendation from one of these scoutmasters who was leading our troop, he knew the owner and actually needed to get keys to our property where we were going to be camping. He highly recommended the chicken fried steak and it did not disappoint, the portion itself was huge, taking up almost the entirety of our ovular plates. The layout of the restaurant is a little confusing for newcomers, you basically get in line tell him what you want eventually and then order your salad etc, kind of like a cafeteria but still a little non-intuitive. Nevertheless the food was really good.

Old school classic American fare that sticks to your ribs and tastes like home cooking

$51 for 2 people … one steak was to be cooked well done. It was still half alive, the 2nd steak was so over cooked you couldn’t even saw thru it! The staff was all hanging around in the lobby as if they were all on break, laughing and messing around, cursing… multiple tables still had previous dirty dishes left on tables. Had to choose between a few tables because they were not wiped down which made no sense since they all were hanging out. This place used to be so good and the service was outstanding guess thats today’s society… Cheap labor and horrible food. We will not be going back

Don’t waste your money. Steak was ordered medium, but was cooked well done. Shrimp was frozen. Potatoe skins were old. Service, what service!? I’ll never go back!

We weren’t really impressed with this restaurant. Four of us ordered the steak and shrimp meal. They were out of baked potatoes. We waited for a considerable amount of time before our number was called. Every one of our steaks was ordered medium and every one came back well done. While it had a good flavor, the steak was really dry and tough. While a little disappointing, I’m going to give them the benefit of the doubt that they are just having a bad night. I have had a good meal here before, but they just missed the mark tonight.

This place has been pretty much the same since I was a kid. Which is nice in some ways. Food is almost always great. Options are pretty standard. Home cut fries are awesome. Also Country Fried Steak is huge! Usually plenty of seating. Service is a bit different as you use a tray and get drinks at the start of the line. Then pick up your food from the heat lamps when they call your number. There is a back “fine” dining area for larger parties or events. Also you can get an ice cream cone from a self service machine which costs one quarter per cone. Though they only have vanilla now. Parking is decent but can fill up quickly.

This place reminds me of the old Casa Benitez without the diver entrainment in addition using steak instead of Mexican food. Food was not top quality, but had a top shelf price. Best part of the meal was the desert.

The only game in town on Easter Sunday. So anybody who didn’t wanna cook was here for steak. A unique formula here. It is cafeteria style. You order in the cafeteria line when you come in and pay. If you want a salad, they give it to you right away otherwise you get a number and call your number when your meal is ready. Clearly their attempt to reduce costs and keep prices down. Because it was Easter Sunday you picked a plastic Easter egg from the basket at the cash register. Inside might be a discount of 10% 30% 50%. It was my lucky day and I got a 50% discount.

Local favorite within lunch special options. Tuesdays they have “senior day'” which makes it really busy. Wednesday they add pasta to the menu but they have their regular menu available as well.
