We stopped for lunch. Great find! We were greeted as we walked in. The chips and salsa were delicious. The chips were warm. We ordered the street corn as a starter. Fajitas combo chicken and steak, came with cilantro rice, red beans. All the food was delicious. The rice is light and refreshing.

We had an amazing first visit this Tuesday! We arrived between lunch and dinner so it was pretty slow and we had a chance to talk with some very friendly employees. We tried several taco choices: short rib, fish, chicken, and pork and I had a house margarita. My short rib and fish tacos were both 10/10 if not 11/10 and the drink was huge and strong. I was even offered salt, sugar, or tajin rim! 5 star attentive service. This is one of our new top places to eat, can’t recommend enough. Thank you Prima Cantina for a great experience!

This place was excellent!! The rice bowl, tacos and burrito had perfect flavor. The drinks were not skimped on. Service was great and as you could imagine the plates had been emptied. The price was more than fair for the high level of food quality. This is a place to frequent when in the area. Unfortunately I live 2hrs away but will be more than happy recommend this place to all my friends that enjoy discovering new places. I see great success for the future of this restaurant!!

It was a great Mexican place to try near the beach. They had delicious salsa with 2 free baskets of chips. There is an additional fee after that. The guacamole was really good and full of flavor but was $8 for about the quantity of 3/4 cups. The menu is a little pricey, but we were able to purchase a bowl and added a protein for around $15. It was so tasty and seemed to be very fresh. For some reason, they use very small water glasses, and we were so thirsty after a day at the beach that they required a lot of.refills. It was very loud in the restaurant and very difficult to hear even across the table. We had to flag down our waiter several times as he did not come by to see if we needed anything. Overall, the food was so good. Give it a try!

Our server, Jared, was excellent!! Friendly, funny, and efficient! The chips and salsa are really good, I probably had more than I should have. We ordered the crab enchiladas and the shrimp enchiladas with the verde sauce. The taste was good, but we were both disappointed with the tough, almost chewy corn tortillas. My leftovers were actually better the next day after soaking up the sauce. I do appreciate that everything looked and tasted freshly prepared. We’ll be back to try the different salsa’s!

Cute restaurant! Kind staff and delicious food. The cheese dip was fun to eat lol the salsa was well made. The quesadilla and tacos were yummy! Rice and beans tasted like red beans and rice(very good). The tres leches was so moist and smooth. We’re from out of state and we really enjoyed it!

If you want Mexican food and you’re around St.Pete Beach, this is the place to go to. Go! Trust me. They had the best pork I’ve ever had. I ordered the carne asada tacos, they were delicious. My girlfriend ordered the pork bowl, believe it was the Baja, and that was phenomenal. I highly recommend Prima for Mexican food. I’ll definitely be back, hopefully this week. Staff is friendly, prices are fair and dress is casual.
