I ate Praga for the first time tonight, and it was an excellent experience. First, all of the food had a beautiful presentation, was carefully prepared, and had amazing flavors. I tried two appetizers, a soup, two entrees, and two desserts, and they were all great.

The service is excellent but the food speaks for itself. There’s a diverse selection of European dishes, great fishes, and outstanding sauces. It’s common for the owners to be present in the dining room acting partially as wait staff and are incredibly knowledgeable with wine and the menu. Wl be visiting again soon.

We met friends there for dinner and enjoyed ourselves immensely. The martinis were really cold with that nice ice crackle on top and the dinner was very tasty. The swordfish and salmon got good reviews and the Filet medallions and Veal Praga were excellent. The bar has interesting atmosphere (a bit dark) and the restaurant has a relaxed, albeit plain ambiance.

We had such a lovely experience at Praga on a Saturday evening. Our server was friendly and attentive, and the food was absolutely scrumptious! I had the Veal Scallopine Marsala which came with herb whipped potatoes and sauteed spinach and the most divine sauce! Yum! Everyone loved their entrees and all were plated so attractively. The owner greeted us and thanked us as we left. It was a special, memorable meal!

I’m so disappointed. I have been here a few times and loved the outdoor patio. Tonight we were so excited to go out for a girls night for my moms birthday. There were 4 of us. As usual we sat ourself, after we waited for 15 minutes a waitress told us they won’t be serving anyone for at least 1 hour because they are “short staffed.” There were at least 10 empty tables. The waitress told us,” you could sit there, but you won’t be served.” I’ve never heard of such a thing in my life. I’ll never come here again- lost my business.

Three of us went there last night and we sat for 30 min. And our drink order was taken with in 5 min of sitting down. The waitress kept passing us up and we asked where our drinks were, as we watched her bring two more out to her friends that had 2 full ones sitting on their table. Then the people next to us sat down and are served by another waitress before we got ours and they just sat down! We flagged that waitress and she got our waitress and she said she’d be right back. Never did get our drinks. We just left and went to Punkies. At least we get service there. We were going to order food too!! We won’t be returning.

A rainy evening made it a cozy atmosphere to chat with friends. The food was slightly pricey but with good friends it was well worth the price . Service was another story … a table of 10 must have been too much for our waitress as five of the main dish entrees were served to the wrong patron. Three patron’s in our party ended up consuming the main dish entrees that they “did not” originally order. Otherwise it was OK at best.

We are fairly regular customers at Praga, and last night 9/22 was the worst we’ve ever experienced. I truly believe that because we were there for $5 martinis and appetizers the amount of our check reflected the serviced that we received. Understaffing seems to be a big issue here, and they really need to dedicate one server for the indoor dining room rather than everyone running all over. We waited 25 mins from the time we were obviously finished until we were asked if we’d like anything else. We were going to order dessert but at this point decided not to. We got our check and found we had been overcharged for several items ($1 each, but still), rather than say anything, who knows how long it would have take to correct the mistake, we paid the bill and left. We will go back, but there really needs to be some change in philosophy geared towards providing better and more attentive service regardless of how busy you are.
