Portum Restaurant & Lounge had horrible service the food was cold , flavorless, pancakes were hard, the croissants smelled like sour dough and the crab dip reeked of spoiled crab. For $75 a person this is extremely disheartening experience and ruined my Mothers Day!! It definitely gave me Horn and Horn vibes. No one could eat any of their food it was quite unappetizing Highly do not recommend visiting this place your likely not get sick cause there time and temperature structure is off !

This place is a hidden gem located inside Harborside Hotel. Excellent service and great food. The southwest chicken egg rolls, Thai chilli wings and fries are delicious. Carlos and Alex are great bartenders. They had a jazz brunch on Saturday with all the fixings. Brunch is also available on Sunday. Very reasonably priced entree’s. The filet mignon tips with eggs is delicious for breakfast. All of the people who work here are gracious and friendly. I’ll be back definitely!

From the Moment you walk in, you are greeted with big smiles. It was our first time and had friends from out of town. We were greeted by Maritza, who took our drink order and explained the buffet to us. The buffet was beautifully set up and looked very inviting. We started with the omelettes that were made to order, and made our way to the hot items. We finished our meal off with the fresh fruit and delicious pastries. The Director, Jeff, checked on us several times and even cleared any plates he saw in front of us.

So many wonderful things to say about this restaurant and it’s staff! Upon walking in I immediately knew this was the place was going to be amazing! The ambiance is absolutely beautiful, the manager and staff are above amazing! Everyone was extremely kind and professional! As a cherry on top The food and service was amazing as well! I will definitely be back, but do yourself a favor and check out the Portum Restaurant and Lounge, you won’t be disappointed!!!

My entire family paid for a block of rooms in which included dining at this establishment for a three day weekend family reunion……on day two (saturday) while having brunch four of our family members decided to move to another table that was (included in the designated tables for our event) so that they can communicate with other family members, when a hispanic gentle man approached them and abruptly complained about them moving to another one of “our tables”??? As we observed throughout our stay there for three days (the hotel’s guests are predominately African American’s from out of town and the surrounding community in which this hotel is operating) so “WHY” is it that the hotel is staffed predominately with Hispanic employees who have no consideration and are not sensitive to the needs of it’s African American patrons who keep this hotel business afloat? Lastly, on Saturday evening while we ate dinner and held our family reunion festivities in the reception/dinner room we all were falling asleep, so when we asked about getting some coffee the hotel staff stated ” coffee is not on your contract” and they did not even try to converse on the matter any further…..Note: We only had around 10 tables there, so that would be no more than 10 pitchers of coffee and we offered to PAY FOR IT……. Finally, I got up and asked to speak with a supervisor and he directed me to a waitress by the name of “Maritza”…..she told me that she could fix me “one pitcher” of coffee, and I said ok better than nothing! Upon handing me the coffee she startled me with a staggering price of $18.90 !!!

Happy hour or Brunch anyone? This is a cute spot to stop in on your way out for a few drinks and appetizers or if you want to do Brunch on a Sunday it’s a way to go. They don’t do bottomless mimosas so that’s why they get 4 stars. I enjoy the staff there as they are super friendly and very accommodating. The steak and cheese eggrolls, the crab chowder, deviled eggs, and the Mahi tacos are my favs. Happy hour is 3-6 daily and Brunch is 11-3 Sat and Sun. They do serve all day, those are the highlighted times. This a hotel restaurant so it may not look like you would just walk in off the street but it’s very much so open to the public and you can have events in there as well.

I went there for lunch on a Sunday morning. The service was excellent. All the reservations were taken for luch, but it was comfortable at the bar. The atmosphere was pleasant, the decor was very nice, and the restaurant was spacious and full of light. IThe buffet was okay, but the fried chicken was excellent. I wasn’t pleased with waffles, as they were a little heavy. The dessert table was okay. There is a custom omelet station, and the portion was a good size. All in all, a 4. I would go again and try something on the menu.

Let me begin with the staff. Simply the best. The waitress Regina was nothing short of phenomenal. I highly recommend the Crab Cake sandwich. They truly made Maryland proud. BTW to all my single brothers, the bar was packed with ladies on Friday night.

The food and service was perfect! There were 14 of us who went out to eat as a very last minute decision. We went to Outback (5 minutes away) first who were having issues seating us so we called Portum to make last minute reservations. When we got inside, the place looked beautiful. We were greeted immediately and shown to our seats. The waitress did a magnificent job at taking our orders. Our drinks were GREAT! If you drink, I suggest getting the Side Car. It was strong and tasty! We had absolutely no complaints about this place. Will be coming back!!!! SOON!
