Our very first Portofino’s Restaurant was opened on Eastway Drive in Charlotte in 1996. Later, Portofino’s on Park Road opened, followed by Portofino’s at the Arboretum. Portofino’s Indian Land opened in May 2018.

Where to start?! Everything from the food to the service is more then I expected . As you walk in , you can smell the fresh Italian bread being baked to the chatter of people enjoying a family dinner. Mauro, very kindly answered a few of my questions while my family and I waited for a table. He personally walked us to our table . Our server was very helpful ,fast and knowledgeable. Mauro during our dinner made sure to check on us . Made us feel welcomed. I will for sure come back to this establishment more often. . Would highly recommend the chicken marsala and the pizza .

I ordered the Chicken Marsala. I had to throw it away. The chicken was 1/4” thick and the whole thing was covered in oil. I don’t understand the other peoples high ratings but it must be for something other than the chicken.

Called ahead to place my order. The guy who answered the phone said 10 minutes Eastway and gave me an order/ticket number. I arrived 10 minutes later to pick up my order and had to argue with the guy behind the counter about how I called the wrong location and there was no order for me. I insisted it was him I spoke to. He said to me “just because I have an accent doesn’t mean it was me” miss me with the racist nonsense. I hit redial on my cell phone and the store phone started ringing. Imagine that. I silently walked out. First of all I have been a customer of this Portofino for over 15 years. I have sat and dined in this establishment with my family over a dozen times, celebrated birthdays and more having everything from pizza to scampi so i know what location I called and drove to. The same location I ordered the same pizza from 2 weeks ago and drove to. There are too many Italian restaurants in Charlotte for people to treat long time customers this way. I don’t care if you’ve been there for 30 years this is our community and you can pick up your bald head and leave. I’ll make sure to let everyone on the east side know this is how you treat people. I don’t argue with fools I just spend my cash elsewhere.

What a hidden treasure! Everyone was very welcoming when we arrived. Good and service were fantastic. We had the Gorgonzola Chicken and Chicken Parmesan and both were delicious and would certainly recommend.

Had a great meal at Portofino’s in Charlotte NC. Tried the pizza and the penne a la vodka- both were delicious. The ambiance was nice and service was fantastic. Big thanks to Nathan! Will definitely go back!

I have loved this restaurant for so long but my entire experience this past time was extremely disappointing. My girlfriends and I went a few days ago as it’s a classic dinner place for us. Our waiter was very unconcerned with our experience and we felt extremely dismissed. He returned 3 times to ask what kind of wine I had ordered and was extremely unprofessional. I was brought out a dish that I did not order and I sent it back with the food runner and our waiter returned with THE SAME EXACT PLATE and tried to gaslight me on what I ordered. It was so bizarre. They did get me what I ordered (15 minutes later) which I understand but my dish was absolutely over buttered and over salted and honestly unpalatable. I didn’t send it back I just asked for the bill when the time came. The bill then came out and I was charged for the dish that I didn’t order and I asked (very nicely) if he could just adjust the price he then AGAIN tried to gaslight me saying the price was the same. Someone else in our party ordered the same thing as me and I knew for a fact it was different and argued my point a little further. When he returned. He had just adjusted the bill by a smaller amount than what was owed and left with a snarky attitude. I know he expected me not to tip because I had my bill adjusted but I left over 20% and I hope he’s nicer to the next patrons and that management seriously considers a meeting on customer service and manners in the serving industry as a single dish of pasta here is around $15-$18 without an added protein. I feel that with the price being as high as it is the bare minimum that can be expected is respect not being blatantly disrespected by some young kid with a high and mighty attitude.
