My name is Franny, I come from the Old World Italy. My first day in the United States has been magical at the Porto Bello. I knew this would be an incredible experience when the line was out the door on a Monday evening. The food was just as authentic as the food my great grandmother used to prepare before her passing. Very disappointing. Had calamari and a pasta dish. Calamari was these little rings and fragments submerged on so much batter that you couldn’t even taste it. The pasta tasted like it was scooped out of a 5 gallon barrel. The only thing that was good was the beer which would be hard to screw up. (my server was also nice).

Attended a wedding reception here. Beautiful room and outdoor space. The food was very good. The young servers stepped in and helped a few of the elderly guests to plate and carry it to their tables. I highly recommend this establishment.

Overall a nice dining experience. Food was – good. First time at any Italian restaurant, I always try the Spaghetti & Meatballs and it was good. Our server was a bit inexperienced and took a LONG time to close things out; hence the three stars. We will return and try it again.
