This is a local establishment that has been running strong for decades. They have customized sandwiches from the deli and specials that will absolutely blow you away. It’s a perfect spot to catch up with an old friend over lunch or just to pick up some deli items. They also have a bakery where everything is always fresh and an old farmhouse vibe that just makes you feel at home. I’ve been coming to this place since I moved to the south hills over 20 years ago and I’ve never had a negative experience here and doubt anyone ever could. Really love Portman’s!

I had an amazing Reuben sandwich and a delicious cinnamon roll! Their hot sandwich menu changes daily, and the bakery has tons of yummy baked goods. i remember going here as a child for fresh veggies, so I’m so happy they survived the pandemic and are still around to serve us!

Ahh, Portman’s Farm Market, the absolute King of comfort food in southern Allegheny County, a short drive from Pittsburgh, and easily accessible from Interstate 79 via the Bridgeville exit (exit 54), PA Route 50, and U.S. Route 19. Located on Washington Pike, just south of the intersection with Interstate 79, just north of the intersection with Boyce Road.

Nice little privately owned deli/market/bakery. Fresh deli meats, sandwiches and baked goods. Also some other basic grocery needs. I personally have had a Jewett sandwich with corned beef and horseradish cheese on rye multiple times. Has been very good each time. They also have multiple other sandwiches available to order. If you are looking for a nice local choice, off the beaten path in the South Hills of Pittsburgh, this is a great option.
