Hidden gem in Varina! We LOVE this place! The portions are large. The coffee is excellent. The drinks are generous. The prices are reasonable. Specials are posted outside. Saturday is 20% off entrees. If you order a salad, we recommend the house dressing. We always buy a bottle to take home. It’s delicious!

This is a nice restaurant if you’re looking for Italian cuisine. The service is very good and the food is delicious and very affordable. It is handicap friendly and special seating is available. You can dine in, take out or use Grub Hub. Portobellas is closed on Mondays.

Inedible! The fried zucchini that was boxed came with a full tablespoon of oil as it was not strained properly or the oil in the frier wasn’t hot enough. The pizza sauce tasted metallic like from a can. The only flavor profile was the cheese since it had twice the amount it needed. Toppings were placed under the thick blanket of cheese so we also got to enjoy nearly raw vegetables with our double cheese. Not to mention, paid extra for a Sicilian style pizza, but a round pizza was made in it’s place.

The staff was wonderful, very friendly, and the food was incredible! The bread was homemade and right out of the oven. I was with a group and everyone in the group shared how delicious their dishes were. If you haven’t been, you are missing out!

I went inside. They told me that I can have a seat anywhere. I sat there for at least 10 minutes while on my phone. But then I started to wonder how did the two white couples come in 10 minutes after me and got menus in some form of service, before I did? Me going inside with random for a lunch break. I guess they did not want my money as they wasted my time. Even if it had nothing to do with me being black, it sure felt like it.

This was an incidental find on a road trip. We each got a wrap. I got Italian and my husband Chicken Bacon Ranch. They were both grilled which was a nice touch. Neither was too saucy and had decent flavor. Not too heavy. Service was prompt and friendly. The beverage glasses are enormous! Quick and easy off of interstate 295 as well to break up a drive if needed.
