I had been advised in advance that this is not the place to eat if you’re in a hurry. Okay, so it was Saturday morning, I expect a small diner in a tourist town to be a bit busier so I allowed for that factor. However, the time noted on my check was 10:21 and I was told that there was ONE table ahead of me. Solo trip, I sat at the counter. I ordered the special, 2 eggs, toast, home fries & bacon – nothing fancy. I watched as SEVERAL tables received orders before me. When at 11:30 I asked if my order was coming, I was told it was “up next” (it wasn’t). Finally, close to 11:40 I received my simple breakfast order. So, roughly 70 minutes from order time to eat time. Is that reasonable? Not for me.

My wife and I stopped for breakfast after dropping our teens off at Cedar Point. Prices were very reasonable compared to most other restaurants. Service was very good. Kept our coffee cups filled and were quick to get us anything we needed. Pancakes are ENORMOUS! Be aware of that before you order too many ( unless you want some to take home). Not too busy when we first arrived around 9:30, but it wasn’t long before there were a lot more. Seemed to be a lot of people that had been there before. Food was excellent! Would have given atmosphere five stars except the place is a little dated. However, it does have that “mom and pop” vibe. We will definitely be coming back.

Incredible family-friendly atmosphere. The food was filling and absolutely delicious. Coffee cup never hit the bottom because they kept it topped off. Best of all, you’re not going to find any better price for eating out. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Possibly the best hidden gem in all of Sandusky. You will not get a better breakfast than the one you will get here, I promise you. DO NOT come here expecting a quick “in and out” meal. It will easily be an hour or so before your food gets to your table. But once it does, you will forget about the wait. Patience is a virtue, and you will feel virtuous after the experience. Highest recommendation.

Why own a restaurant if you’re going to treat customers like an inconvenience? I can understand the long wait, and that was fine, but being rude and snapping at customers doesn’t make it worth the wait whatsoever. Someone rode up and asked “Is this place any good?” and I explained to them that if you are not a local, you’re gonna be treated like a burden. I will never be back, I’d rather find a Denny’s than subject myself to another 2 hours of this establishment. Maybe instead of getting mad that your restaurant is attracting business, you could be grateful that anyone would wanna subject themselves to that environment while they wait on a “quality” 2 hour-prepped scrambled egg.

Food is awesome and the portion sizes and prices are simply unbeatable. The downside is the place is small – kitchen, dining area, etc. This wouldn’t be an issue (and probably a plus in my eyes bc i love the vibe) if the restaurant wasn’t so popular.

We first found this place in 2021 when we came to cedar point. 2 years later we made sure to come back to here the next day after cedar point. The food is great, the prices are phenomenal and the atmosphere and service is the absolute best. Hands down this will be our breakfast go to spot when we come to Sandusky before heading home.

Wonderful food. Very small place but I would eat here over any other breakfast place. All 4 of us loved our food. The prices were phenomenal for the quality and amount of food.

Hometown locals best kept secret been going here over 25 years! So believe me when I say this place is in EVERYONE BUGET, never had bad food or service, the specials and entire menu CAN NOT be beat. You really get more than what you pay for. Big Mans Breakfast includes 3 eggs, hashbrowns, toast, 7 Pcs of bacon, and 2 sausage patties! Warning: You may have to wait a little longer for your food, but it’s worth the wait! You’re getting five star food at a 2 star price!!!
