Came here for lunch today after arriving to Nola and we were seated right away. The girl who took our drink order and the girl who took the foods orders were awesome. Very pleasant, thorough and efficient. Food tasted amazing. They don’t have fries or bacon for the burger but that wasn’t a deal breaker.

Port of Call has been my favorite restaurant for years when I would visit New Orleans. On August 19, 2023 I visited there with my friends. The food was good but our server Matt was quite upset at the end. Our bill was $107 I paid the tab for the table with $110. Told Matt no change. On my way to the restroom he made a point to give me the $2 and change and said that he didn’t “need it”. Continuing on to the restroom, Matt proceeded to yell, “Out of $110 you left me $2 get real!” I quickly called my home girl and told her to remove his real tip off the table IMMEDIATELY!! As I left I said to him, since you wasn’t grateful for the $2 that you thought you were getting, I was sure to direct my crew to remove your real tip. He replied to me yelling, “Stop lying next time I’ll charge you for the extra cherries!” I smiled and walked out with my large casino winnings from the previous evening in my lil clutch purse. Matt, if you can’t be trusted to properly handle the little, don’t be surprised when your life yields you nothing more.

The burgers were okay. We liked that the burger came with a baked potato instead of the usual chips. The service seemed a little sleepy. We liked the cosy restaurant itself. When you walk in it looks like a dark bar. But there are still seats at the back.

We asked the NOFD to recommend their favorite burger joint in the town, and they recommended Port of Call despite it being a hike from the station in the French Quarters where we were at.

Came here base on somewhere I read where they said to try their hurricanes. However there isn’t hurricanes on the menu but I ordered their WindJammer which is a similar version to the hurricane. I got the 8oz they also have a 16oz version. The drink knocked both my Dad and I out. I def recommend it if you’re looking for a tasty strong drink. They have a limited but straightforward menu

Like most places in the French Quarter, you can’t tell a book by its cover. The outside looks like any other place. Walking in, it looks like most bars, but the air was different. Nicely decorated, quaint, with just enough light to not be dark and just enough darkness to not be too light.
