You have to check this place out. The barbecue is absolutely delicious. Grab a big pulled pork sandwich with sides of hush puppies and wedge fries. Definitely the hush puppies.

Fantastic customer service, and the food is PNENOMENAL! We tried chicken, ribs, and brisket, and they were all hits. I’m not even a fried chicken fan, and I was blown away! My husband is a barbecue fanatic, and said it was the best barbecue he’s ever had in his life! We came from an hour away, and can’t wait to come back. So happy to support a local business that’s doing it better than anyone else around!

My boyfriend has wanted to stop here so many times and kept forgetting and eating somewhere else, it wasn’t meal time, etc. But, once he did, it is our favorite local barbecue. I always tell him not to get sides because they’re so so, yesterday he got mac & cheese and beans and they were amazing. I have had baked beans 1 million different ways and make some pretty good ones myself. But I loved their beans. The ribs were amazing and tender as always.

I had the time to check out Porkey’s for the first time on the weekend after the glowing review came out in the Chesapeake(?) Magazine, and they were swamped. Nevertheless, the service was upbeat, friendly, and as efficient as possible under the very stressed circumstances. The food was AWESOME and I’ve been back 4-5 times since, despite it being about an hour round-trip from home in Annapolis.

It’s a small takeout place with no sit-down stress but in an area where fast food outnumbers restaurants 10:1, I’d rather go here. It’s authentic and well done food, not the typical burger joint. The folks behind the counter were well mannered and helpful.

This is a take out BBQ joint, so there is no atmosphere to speak of. The ribs were cooked perfectly but could have had a bit more rub for flavor. The sauces were tasty. Ask for extra sauce they are a little light on the container size. The service was excellent and attentive. The sides were decent. Overall, a good dining experience for the money.

I kept passing this place on my way to Patuxent River and this time I decided to stop. I would post pictures of my food, but it’s gone. I had a rib sandwich with Cole Slaw; I forgot my bottle water so the next time I stop in, because I will be back, hopefully you all can give me my water (lol). Simply put, everything was great! If I was from the country, I would probably say, dem ribs good (lol). See you all soon and everybody else, it’s worth going here.

I haven’t even left the parking lot yet and have to write a review because this is THE BEST bbq we have ever had!!! The flavor of everything is unreal. The brisket literally melts in your mouth, the green beans and collard greens are flavored PERFECT. Not to be dramatic but even the chicken fingers are top tier the perfect amount of crispy and juicy not overly dried out and hard. Plus the customer service was a 10/10 as well. We can’t wait to come back
