Great local place! I know this food dish isn’t everyone’s favorite, but I ordered the liver and onions. The cooked onions were even seasoned! Friendly staff, and I can’t wait to try their other dishes! You can’t help but feel at home while you’re there. I ordered to go, but I look forward to dining in there soon.

Came for breakfast during Faster Horses weekend. We were prepared for a long wait but we were able to be seated immediately. Despite how busy it was, our service was amazing and our server was so kind, not to mention the life changing (and let’s be honest… life saving) food!

Highly recommend Poppa’s Place! My family has been coming here for breakfast every summer when we visit Clark Lake since I was a kid. Poppa’s Place has always had great service, homey decor, delicious food, generous portions, and very reasonable prices. You really can’t go wrong here.

This place has become a family favorite! Not only is the food amazing so it’s the service. Everyone is so friendly and quick to serve you. The servings are a good size while the pieces are VERY reasonable. We actually found this place kinda by accident & it has been the best accident ever. We love it so much that this is where we bring friends to treat them when they visit from outta town. We cannot say enough good things. Their whole menu is great we’ve had breakfasts, lunches & dinners & never been let down. Truly, just give it a try & you won’t be disappointed.

So Disappointed. I just moved to Michigan and people were telling us that we must try this place. I went for the barbecue. The ribs were tough and the chicken was dry. The waitress was overwhelmed and started to have an attitude like it’s our fault. The other waitress didn’t show up. Would not recommend at all.

I’ve been going to this place for a while now. Normally the people there know me and know what i want to order. They have one waitress there in particularly that is always very rude and disrespectful every time. I would say that the food is always good but the atmosphere there is not good for business. I personally would of fired her a long time ago. She has made very rude comments towards me getting food and she’s always outside smoking a cigarette and then going back in to make food. I don’t think she spends more that 5 minutes by the time she’s done smoking to making food and she probably doesn’t wash her hands. Not sure who the owner is but they should know she’s not friendly.

Prices are what surprised me most-they are still affordable! My breakfast bowl was good and the eggs were cooked how I asked. Typical diner atmosphere and the reason for only four stars is because the radio was playing quite loudly from the kitchen area but by the front.
