So hubby just asked last week if anyone has tried Popeyes Chicken in the fam. Nobody had except me but it was like a decade ago. I said the lines are always busy so it must be good. Lo and behold I’m running errands today and there is a Popeyes next door. So I ordered a box and ate a wing. They asked mild or spicy? I said mild…I think I should have said spicy. My review is that it smelled good like fried chicken should. It was Crunchy with every bite and it wasn’t greasy. The flavor was fine and maybe a little salty. I checked online & KFC charges $20.49 for 12 PC. Well no wonder why Popeyes lines are long! My 11 PC was $16.99. So if you’re looking to stretch that dollar and still have that Crunchy chicken, this is a deal! If all u want is KFC flavor then be willing shell out the difference!

Not a great meal. The blackened seasoning was off and tasted like curry. It’s clear the oil needed to be changed as the fries and breaded chicken sandwich were not good tasting. Disappointing won’t be going back.

This is a busy spot near the college and the freeway. Its on the corner of college and el calon blvd. They were out of lemonade as usual and the service was okay! Wasn’t bad or good. It was fair! Why is this spot always out of drinks, food items ? They don’t seem to be prepared for big crowds of people. Also, for two orders it cost $30. Chicken should not cost this much .

Popeye’s drive thru. None of our orders were wrong and we got our food quickly. Exactly what you want at a drive thru. The member of staff taking our order was very polite and patient when we needed a few more minutes for everyone to finalise their order. Personally, I think you can’t go wrong with the Cajun Fries, Chicken Sandwich and Chicken Tenders – they’re my favourite. 2pc Combo is good, too.

I wanted to try the fish sandwich,but it was discontinued. I ordered the 2 can dine $9.99. The drive thru woman was nice and the chicken was delicious. It came with 5 pieces of chicken 2 sides, and 2 bisquits. Definitely, a good deal..

So COVID protocols somewhat appreciated but same time seemed overwhelming at this point. Really safe and clean though but I get kinda paranoid germaphobe when all that barrier stuff is up. COVID-19 really got me tripping but better safe than sorry.

It took forever and my chicken was cold by the time they gave me my mash potatoes and gravy. When I do eat out for hot meals I expect it to be hot not cold because that’s the reason why I chose to eat out to get a hot meal not cold.

Popeyes is my favorite of all the big chain chicken places. This particular location gets really busy so it may be worth it to order ahead online. We ordered the chicken sandwiches and chicken tenders. They were good as always here. We order the chicken spicy with a side of Cajun fries. Popeyes never disappoints.
