Its really always a hit or miss with this location. My tenders were garbage. Usually, the food is hot and fresh though the portions are small. The employees are not the friendliest. The strawberry lemonade was very good . 🙂

My daughter and her boyfriend went today 7/17/2023. @ about 4 pm. There was a sign saying no fountain drinks. Only water and tea. They orders a meal and requested tea. The worker was very rude and said “no drinks” in a very rude tone. They were charged for the entire meal without a drink. Next, they ordered dirty rice but got French fries. They struck out in all areas!!! The chicken on the sandwich was supposed to be crispy but was blackened. The workers were very annoyed to even wait on them.

I got the blackened chicken tenders. They informed me before I left the speaker that it would be a 6-minute wait which isn’t bad, at all. The crew members were very polite & sweet! They were a tad busy, but they got people through quickly! I don’t believe my wait was 6 minutes, but it could have been.

So I go to this location at 1:30pm. No one in line and after the lunch rush. The manager comes onto the speaker and I get the feeling she is rushing me to order. I request a 3 piece dark meat with mashed potatoes. And a side of large Mac n cheese for my son. She tells me my total and repeats the order. I tell her no I wanted mac n cheese. She says “Oh I didn’t hear that”. I get to the window and they hand me a large mashed potatoes along with my box. I explain to the girl at the window that I wanted a large side Mac n cheese not a mashed potatoes. She goes to swap it out and the manager then says she needs to charge me more. I asked why does she need to charge me more im swapping the large mashed potatoes for the large Mac n cheese that I actually ordered. This manager has a terrible attitude and actually curses in front of me saying again that she didnt hear me say large mac n cheese. I tell her she should listen better bc I said it twice. She grabs the large Mac n cheese, thrusts it as me, and slams the door shut. All the while I never screamed or was rude to her employee who was standing there very confused. As someone who also works in customer service this manager has no business being employed to work with the public. I will drove to Lake Charles before ever dealing with this location again.

We came from out of town (Houston, TX) and wanted to get a quick bite for dinner and we were pleasantly surprised. Timothy helped serve us and it was delightful to see such a hard working young individual. The whole team was working hard when we arrived which is different from what I usually see at a restaurant about to close. They all made sure that we were well taken care of, the food came out quick and fresh and was delicious. There is no popeyes in Houston that compares to this one. A great hardworking team really makes a difference in the quality of food. If I’m ever traveling through Louisiana again I will be sure to stop at this popeyes location.

First went to enter the dining hall 45 minutes before the dining room area closed and the door was already locked. So I went to the drive thru and literally sat there for a total of 30 minutes waiting to order while several cars just left from the wait. Finally, I made the order and waited another 20 minutes on 2 sandwiches while being the only customer on the property. Drove home only to see that I didn’t even have my whole order and they didn’t put everything on the sandwiches. When I returned to the store, that’s when they informed me they were out of certain things, and that’s why I didn’t receive them opposed to stating that upfront. So nicely put it was trash service and a trash experience. I’ll just go to the city services location next time
