Going to this location was like going back in time to what Popeyes is supposed to be like. I live in Orange, TX, and for years the Popeyes there has been declining in service, food quality, and building maintenance. We stopped going. I happened to be in the Sulfur area today, so I walked in and ordered a family meal. The store was clean and bright. The employees were busy, as I came at a high-traffic time, but my order was still taken promptly, and my meal was ready in a more-than-reasonable amount of time, considering. Mainly, though, it tasted how Popeyes is supposed to taste, which is something I haven’t gotten to experience in a long time. Crispy and juicy and fresh. Again, like going back in time.

Did an order online went to pick it up the workers were clueless walking around like zombies. Had Mac and cheese for my side really didn’t have anything in the container. To top that off I put blackened ranch for my dipping sauce they put ranch in the bag. The ghost pepper wings were cold and the Mac and cheese wasn’t really hot either . I hope they get it together over here.

I ordered ahead on the app. App told me it’d be ready by 5:40. I showed up and the girl at the counter told me they don’t start packing until I arrive. The chicken wasn’t ready. I waited about 15-20 minutes until they cooked more and packed my order. After the wait I was handed my food. I thought to inspect. Missing a large side. So I had to wait again for them to prepare it. After a few minutes the counter worker just handed me 2 small sides instead of a large.

I just don’t understand how they can mess up my order. It was a simple 3 piece combo, and I only get two. This is so disappointing their service sucks. I called, and they didn’t do anything about it just because the cashier rang up the wrong meal after he himself repeated my order saying three piece combo. I will not recommend this place. We finally took our chance to finally get this chicken sandwich that has been the talk of the town. So after attempting several times to get in drive thru’s to purchase this sandwich my review is that the sandwich is very good!!! Chicken was dried out and the size pieces were so small. Side of red beans came 2/3 of the container full. Not like the food used to be at Popeyes. Price is doubled what it used to cost…don’t recommend this restaurant to anyone.
