We came in town for work. I read the reviews before we stopped. A bunch of complaints about waiting too long. Did we have to wait for our food? Yes we did but take it from someone that’s worked in food service for years, I’ll wait for fresh made food any day!! The young lady that waited on us was friendly and very helpful. She kept me informed how long I had to wait… The food was delicious and hot!! Keep up the good work Popeyes in Manhattan Kansas.

A resident had warned me about going to this location, but I did anyhow. Ordered a family meal with Mac and cheese and coleslaw plus an extra side of fries. Was at the 10 minute wait mark when I was told Cole slaw wasn’t made that day . You have 4 sides and that day 3. Annoying. Coleslaw is a signature thing so it was a shock. My wait was over 20 minutes. Biscuits a bit dry. Butter or jelly should come with them. Chicken really good. Red beans and rice was more like refried beans mixed with rice. Definitely not what you’d get in the south. Staff didn’t seem very service oriented, more focused on socializing with each other.

Consistently every time I order from this location they are out of something I want on my order. This would not be that bad if I could just swap whatever for whatever else. Instead of deleting the item from my order or seeing about a substitution. They have to cancel the order and I have to contact corporate to get a refund for said order. Extremely annoying. Idk if it’s a supplier problem or whoever does the truck orders but it’s frustrating. I would eat here probably every other day if It was just reliable in any way.

30 minutes in the drive thru. Order wasn’t even correct, missing an entire sandwich and the sandwich meal we ordered wasn’t even what we ordered. No silverware. What did we wait 30 minutes for? No receipt was given to us either, and I couldn’t even ask for one because she closed the window so quickly after every time she opened it. Not to mention borderline throwing the food and drinks into my window instead of handing it to me.

Ordered 8 piece, spicy chicken meal online at 6:00 pm on a Monday. Got there 20 minutes later, they had to “find” my order, and then had no spicy chicken. Asked if they ever have spicy, their answer was “well, not tonight.” This is our third time patronizing this restaurant. Had a problem each time. Just not worth it for me.

I used to be a HUGE proponent of KFC….they have been slipping lately. I like Popeyes because of the CRISPNESS of the chicken as well as the SPICY OPTIONS. It is a bit pricey, but it is worth it. For those that love beans, this is the place to get them. I am a biscuit man, and these are decent…wish they were a little fluffier!

So I just spent $65.00 on a horrible meal! 20 piece tender meal! One the chicken was not hot or even warm, 2nd the biscuits tasted like the were old and reheated, then 3rd they didn’t even give us the dipping sauces I paid for! Worst Poppies location ever!! Being a MGR of Poppies in the past also in another state I can say this was the worst one yet I have been too!

Updated: Service has gotten slower and slower, and half the time the lobby is closed. Drive through is broken too. I waited in the line for 25 minutes today in an attempt to pick up my mobile order I’d already paid for. Ridiculous!
