This is a review purely on the new chicken sandwich. I as a restaurant owner and chef just cannot understand the hype with this sandwich. My employees said i should try it and so I did. First of all, it is not much different than any other chicken sandwiches elsewhere. It has fried chicken, lots of spicy mayo and 2 pieces of pickles . Let’s give credit where it’s due and that is the chicken meat was moist. Beyond that, the crazy amount of sodium that was in this thing was insane not counting the crazy amount of mayo. There is no lettuce of tomatoes or any kind of green in this(besides the 2 pieces of pickles mentioned above).This is like killing your health away as you eat. Please everyone if you must eat this, make it once every few months cause you are destroying your health with this.

I was there 6/24/23 9:29pm, order #696 I ordered through drive up. At the pickup window, the guy in black, who took my order, I think was manager is standing on the side picking zits on his face and arms. Soo disgusting! As I’m looking in the window, I see none of the workers are wearing masks, gloves, or hairnets. Even before covid19, folks handling the food had to wear gloves and hairnets. OMG. The server handed me my and I pulled up to door and stopped. I was about to go in and the same server was coming out to give an order to a waiting vehicle. I handed her my food back and told I her I didn’t want it, and I was so disgusted with what I’d just saw that I didn’t want a refund. Just keep the $11.29 I paid for the #3 combo. How can Popeyes trust their brand to this franchisee. Stay away from this one folks, ya don’t know what your getting.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I had a such a bad experience. Firstly I asked for a ‘3 piece meal’ and was given a ‘kids meal’. Although that was disappointing, I went ahead and paid for it. I asked for barbecue sauce which wasn’t included. To top it all off, the Cole slaw had a dead insect in it and was spoilt. This is very disappointing and they need to do better.

The chicken sandwich is the real deal…I’ve never seen a Popeyes this busy before and it’s all because of the chicken sandwich and definitely competes with chick filA. In fact, I may actually prefer this sandwich because it really showcases and accents the chicken with simple spicy dressing, pickle and a brioche bun. It was worth the LONG WAIT.
