We were looking for an affordable lunch, and we stumbled upon the Ponderosa Steakhouse. It was a great choice. They offer a buffet and menu items. We decided to explore the buffet options, and there were plenty. There was spaghetti, tacos, meatloaf, pizza, rice, chicken wings, etc. The food was very good and it was hot too. There was a salad and dessert bar. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It wasn’t busy on a Sunday afternoon. We walked out with our bellies full.

We flew in from WA and had dinner here last year. Amazingly, we got the same table this year. Haha . Food is good. Similar to a Sizzler’s or Ruby Tuesday, if you’re looking for a comparison. Get the buffet with your dinner!! Great options for everyone, (even the picky ones)!! Pricing is based on age. Based on the family ahead of us, 3 and under are FREE!!

This establishment has been around for at least 40 years. It used to have an all you can eat salad bar, but now it’s an all you can eat buffet. Add an entree for 3.99 seafood, steak, and chicken options. I had sirloin tips with sautéed mushrooms and onions. It was really salty! My daughter had the broiled shrimp. The salad bar was good. The buffet was meh! Very greasy spoon, some items I couldn’t identify. Not healthy options. I wasn’t interested. We didn’t do dessert. For the cost, which was $50.+ for two of us, I would spend my money elsewhere.

Haven’t visited Ponderosa since the late ’90s so I visited the nearest one to me. The front attendant could be a bit friendly but didn’t. It all starts with the first interaction… he needs redbull and a sense of humor. The server was excellent it was a hard name to remember but she was so amazing! Checked up on us, took the plates fast and refilled out drinks without being asked. She is a gem to this location. The restrooms were in disarray. And woman’s was the worst. Trash was over flowing and trash everywhere. The paper towels in man’s bathroom was empty with the hand dryer broke. Opted to use a few seat covers to wipe hands and open the door. Now…. the Food. Well… the Food. It sure isn’t the 90s!! I remember they had way way much variety than they do now. The price was higher than Golden Corral. Much higher. Thanks for the nostalgia but, II’m sure I won’t be returning. Made me think how many other people won’t do back a second time. No repeat customers I’m sure. Environment was alright, broken light shades, dirty windows and nothing I wanted for dessert. WHERE’S THE CHOCOLATE AT???? Thank you though Ponderosa for the nostalgia time I had there!

There are not many food options and what they do have is ehhh with the exception of the wings & fried chicken (those were great!!). It’s very quiet at least when we went it was, almost like a ghost town. Our server was nice. For the selection of food the price is high but overall it got the job done.
