We finally made it up to Pond Pit BBQ in Sandy Creek. We shared the brisket nachos and the Pig Pen (basically a garbage plate).

Great selection of sauces on each table. It has the homey feel with cafeteria style ordering. Beautiful interior, a place to hang out and enjoy your food or drink. Also does to go/take out. Conveniently located along HWY 3, between DEC lands and fishing access, State Parks, and fishing spots.

Great food and lots of it. You have to go or you are really missing out. You won’t be sorry if you go. It was really great. We all enjoyed it very much and definitely would and will go back. How can I say they don’t have a bad thing on the menu. If you like BBQ check them out.

The food is amazing!!! The bartender was so friendly. Their prices are great too! I will definitely go back there if I’m in the area again!!! If you plan to go they have no wait staff. You order your food at a window and they give you a buzzer to let you know it’s ready to pick up. I know some people just prefer to be waited on so I wanted to make note here. I kind of prefer this setup. But either way everything was amazing!!!!

God I fricken love this place. I love the food, the atmosphere, the people, and the beers. This is great bbq, and it may seem a little pricey for the area but they give you what you pay for in helpings, no skimpy helpings here. It’s a small nice place, and we bring our kids here with us during dinner time, there is a pretty decent kids menu. Service has always been great. We have tried brisket, ribs, salads, sandwiches. And we keep coming back because all of it has been SO good.

We hit it on a night that they had prime rib. It was excellent!!! That & the St Louis ribs were so tender they could b cut with a fork! Perfectly cooked & beyond yummy!!! The sides, homemade Mac & cheese, broccoli salad, & hand cut fries were also great!! I wished I’d have ordered some Mac & cheese & broccoli salad to take home, they were that good!! It was busy when we were there but r food was ready quick & while we waited we ordered a couple of beers that were icy cold. The place is immaculate, great atmosphere, very friendly people & employees!! We will b going back as often as possible!!!

We went there as we like BBQ and the food resulted being very good (we got pulled pork and beef brisket). The place is very nice too. I would give a five star review if there was real silverware to eat and not plastic ones: it’s more enjoyable to eat with metal and more sustainable (thank you for thinking of future generations!).

Well this jem is quite the find, we ordered the “trough” which has enough to feed 4. We got to sample brisket, pulled pork, half chickens, and a rack of ribs….it was all awesome. Moist, tender and a smoke ring to boot. All of the meats were seasoned to give some flavor and let the natural meats taste come through. We did not finish it all so I will have a late night treat. Most meats can be ordered in 1/2 lb sizes which make it great for one person or making a family dinner. I hope to make it back to this great place
