We had takeout last night, and the food tasted very odd. The white rice tasted like soap, and the curry did not taste right. We have been eating here for years but it has really gone downhill. Won’t eat here again.

This place is awesome! I grew up in Washington and was always eating Thai food and recently lived in San Francisco for the past 4 years. Nothing beats this places Pad Thai. It’s saucy, flavorful and the portion size is perfect for two to split!

Sad to see how far down hill this place has gone. When I was a kid I loved eating here. They had flavorful authentic thai cuisine. Unfortunately, the few times I’ve gone here in the last five years have been ENTIRELY disappointing. Lackluster service and mall-food-court flavors. Expect a huge portion of extremely mediocre food. I hope they can turn it around.

I am so happy to know that there is a cozy and delicious Thai restaurant on Mercer Island! The food was very tasty and the portions were huge; my husband and I both took home significantly full to-go boxes. The kind owner of the restaurant even brought my husband an extra serving of rice to take home with his curry. I definitely recommend Pon Proem and I will be back!

Amazing food and great service. I am a vegetarian but my family eats meat, and my kids LOVED the tofu pad Thai. Excellent value for the quality of food. A very nice man is running the show all by himself while an elderly thai man is cooking. Authentic in every way.

I ordered a pad C U with chicken and beef via uber eats today. The chicken and beef has no flavors at all, feels like they just water boiled the meat and put those on top. The noodle has no burned flavor, isn’t that the selling point of pad c u? It feel like they heat it and that’s it. Come on, and now I’m having diarrhea. Worst order ever, give me back the money!

Not sure if this was just an off night, but decided to try a new place (to us) on Mercer Island and it was super disappointing. Shockingly bad. Afraid to eat it bad. Maybe they are in transition but opened up the food when we got home and no rice, larb had soggy shredded cabbage in it and no sticky rice. Phad Thai was a gummy ball and felt like someone cooking it was just hoping no one would notice or didn’t care. Fried tofu might have been off/expired. Had to toss it. Wasn’t busy, so that wasn’t the issue. So hard to be a small business now I know, but also a major bummer to spend $100+ on Thai food and feel sick and throw it out. Felt compelled to warn. So many good Thai places in the area (Seattle or Bellevue). Avoid this one.

This is a highly authentic Thai Restaurant. The food is perfect every time, with large servings and easy on-line ordering. I ask for 10 star spiciness and this does not fail to deliver. My partner prefers zero and is never disappointed either.
