Born and raised in Florida and have never been to New York. This place makes me want to! Awesome service with smiles, hella packed but sandwiches came out so fast.

Absolutely Amazing! The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The portions are very large, so bring your appetite or someone to share with. We had the turkey club, Brooklyn Brawler, grilled cheese, and chef salad. The salad could easily feed 4 people.

It’s a shame, but this deli is just not good anymore and has become a real money-grab under the current ownership! I started visiting Pomperdale’s back in the 70’s when Larry owned the place and it was family run. It was never inexpensive, but the owners were honest people and the place rivaled many of the genuine NYC delis in terms of food quality. And the serving amounts were generous!

Not impressed.. Ordered two pastrami sandwiches. They are usually excellent but this time it seems I got the scraps of the bottom of the steamer. There were only a few whole slices on my “NY Style” sandwich.

Hate to share this review but it’s for those who were once upon a time loyal customers of Pomperdale (20 years or more ago)….The place looks the same BUT the prior reviews stating the corned beef and/or pastrami is tough is 100% true….Went on Saturday for the first time in 18-20 years (I no longer live in Florida) and the pastrami was indeed hard to bite through it was that tough, coupled with the fact that now they apparently slice their pastrami on a slicer (so thin) AS OPPOSED to by hand with a knife…..flavor of the pastrami definitely not there as well….Whatever Pomperdale is now doing differently in the process the end result is no where near what it once was, which was simply as good a Jewish Deli that existed…..

New York deli in Ft.lauderdale. Had the 2 eggs breakfast with French toast. My husband had the Rueben with a potato latkas. All good, the sandwich was huge with plenty of meat.

I’m totally done. They used to have a really good pastrami and corned beef that reminded me of Montreal but I don’t know what’s going on anymore. Regardless, I would’ve kept giving them my money if the lady upfront would just actually listen when I put in an order. She likes to hear herself talk and talk over you while you are giving an order and then when you act stern with her because you know that the order is going to be messed up because she doesn’t let you speak, then she has to give you a whole explanation about how it wasn’t her that took the order in the past that was messed up, etc. etc. etc. A constant argument. I am done. This time I gave them another chance and I got home and there was no mustard on the two sandwiches and I called her and I said” just to give you an example of what I’m talking about. The mustard is missing on two of the sandwiches and you did not put it on the side even. And she said, but your order is right! It’s perfect! And I just hung up on her. I’m done with you guys. Never coming back.
