The service is just fine, if people aren’t yelling at the workers in the back, they are trying their best with the limited people in the back working vs how many people are ordering all at once.

This place has been here for decades. Ownership has changed several times over the years. Not many selections in the area for a seafood fish market that also fries. Taste of food is somewhat decent when you have a craving for fried fish. Had the lemon pepper chicken wings. Those were very salty. You will need to call or ask in person. The menu online is not up to date. Many items are not available. The prices have gone up a bit. Parking is on street only and not to many close by. No public restrooms. There are a couple of picnic tables out front. Not the best ambience for eating there. No indoor seating at this time.

The food was strange. Fries had no flavor, fried fish was very thin and had some fish bones and you couldn’t even taste the fish because of how thin the fish was cut. The shrimp was okay, but the potato salad was disgusting it tasted like it was sitting in a tub for days. I’ve purchased better potato salad from smart n final. Overall I would not come back to this place 1st time and last time trying it.

I grew up going to this place. Needless to say times have changed. The last few times I dined here I ended up with a stomach ache. And I have a stomach made of steel! So that tells me the oil is not changed often. The last time I went (April ’23) I was craving oysters. The craving was so bad I decided to give pomona fish one more shot. Upon entering I was not pleased with the cleanliness of the place. I was told 1 hour wait for food order. Ha! What a joke. They’ll never see me or my money again.

I am here visiting from Atl and my cousin brought me here… the portions were great and the food was very tasty… I knew it had to be good because while we were waiting alot of people had ordered to go and were picking up food!

Not a lot of fish spots like these in the SGV! This is the last of its kind. Good fish and shrimp. It gets really busy on Fridays and most afternoons (lunch crowd) but I will say it is worth the wait!

The catfish I ordered tasted and smelled like cleaning chemicals. The Dr. Pepper the same that my family ordered. The “Jumbo” shrimp were regular sized. Had to keep looking for our waitress but she was friendly. Very disappointed in this place.

Well hello . I finally entered the building, I called before and was left lacking the enthusiasm of the business wanting to help with information about what type of fish was on the special for that day. Well as it is in walking distance from my location I stopped in and still got the dry atmosphere with no greeting of any kind, I stood there for a few before he even came and asked what i wanted. With that same tone as I got on the phone! well I ordered anyway. It was a 40in wait until food was ready 4 catfish nuggets and 4 shrimp . I returned just in time to see him sacking it up so it was fresh hot. To my my surprise it was all battered in the same meal and apparently fried in the same grease so it all tasted the same with same texture. So not what I was expecting or to my liking. Thus I will not be returning. Now. others may like it like that. But I’m a Texas girl so we come correct when it comes to fish and shrimp.! So that’s a strong dislike on the cooking! For me. And customer Service is substandard on many levels.

Food was not disappointing. Well it’s really straight forward and they nailed it. Catfish was catfish. To be honest I wish I had taken a photo of it. As someone who loves catfish, I was very satisfied with this fish. It looked like it would be hard and overcooked but it was the perfect combination of crunch and flakes, yet is still moist. Crinkle cut fries, classic for a fish fry. Coles I was pretty good too. I don’t really like coleslaw but it was like a classic coleslaw you get down in your grandma’s house.? You all know what I am talking about. Three picnic tables outside for seating. So it’s really a Togo only kinda place.
