Too loud music, flies around the tables, good food, very overpriced. Looks run down. Wait staff is hit or miss. Have eaten here about six times; the street tacos are always good. Some nasty sticker on the table.

The tacos were very tasty. Drinks were real good. The jalapeño, cucumber margarita was pretty good but it was spicy. The paloma was very refreshing as was the pitcher of house margarita. But, the michelada was awesome.

This place was absolutely awful! The wait staff seemed more interested is standing around and socializing than tending to their tables. They didn’t give us menus and said we could look online – no QR codes. Our waitress was TERRIBLE. Had the worst attitude and we kept having to flag her down for water. When asked about salsa for our chips they pointed to the salsa bar and said nothing. Come to find out they charge extra for a SELF SERVE salsa bar. She took our order and came back 10 minutes later to ask how we wanted our eggs cooked! The food also took forever and all we ordered was brunch (eggs and beans). Mind you, the place was EMPTY. Also the wait staff stood around and ATE the whole time! The bill came and we realized why the service was so terrible, gratuity was automatically included. Never was I asked if I wanted another drink and the guacamole tasted like it was out of a package – $16! Avoid this place and go elsewhere.

Great location spot for this place. The atmosphere was very nice, hostess was great, and got seated right away. Food was good but i would have loved my sizzling fajitas to come out sizzling. Drinks were good, salsa was good, age they had verde sauce. Inside and outside area, dog friendly patio, but Our waiter took awhile to get to us and bring our food though.

Super cute place. The drinks were not great and the service was awful. There are 6-7 servers/bartenders sitting down at a side table having a roudy good time while I got an undrinkable drink I had to send back and beef quesadillas with so little cheese I had to order a side to make it cheesy…. I mean it is a quesadilla!!!! How does that make sense?? This place has potential but unless they maye changes I do not recommend it.

Isabel was our waitress and she was so kind and helpful. We had the beef fajitas and they were delicious! And the Margaritas were very good as well. Definitely recommend.

I can’t believe they call themselves a Polvo’s. It was like a bad millennial club restaurant in here, nothing like the Polvo’s on South First we know and love. I brought my boyfriend’s 50-something aunt and uncle and 17 year old cousin because they wanted Mexican and we needed a DT restaurant. We literally walked in , got seated and walked out. We couldn’t hear ourselves think let alone enjoy a dinner together chatting. Zero ambiance other than club music blasting and young people yelling at their dining companions over the music. I could not recommend more that you skip this spot when downtown dining.

We love Polvos. The food is fresh. Homemade tortillas. Love the staff. We are regulars for sure! Try the fajitas beef. They are the best!
