My partner’s from CR and we were so excited to try this place. It did not disappoint at all! The arroz con pollo reminded me of her mother’s cooking and the portion was huge we brought half home. We would really like to see some dessert brought to the menu! But regardless we’ll be coming back for sure. Thank you for bringing this food to colorado!

This was my first time trying this place. It was kind of confusing on the way to place an order, but I figured it out. The worst part began when the order was ready for pickup and since I was on the roof top, I had to go down stairs to get the food and then take the elevator filled with people breathing on top of my food. But the real bad part of the experience was getting the food from Pollo Tico. There was several orders and i said the name of the order. The guy who was attending answered in a disrespectful way. It was confusing on which order was ours and other people who also had to pick up their order, were confused too, then our drink was missing and we got the same treatment. The customer service from this place I give it an F. The pizza place at the roof top of Avanti has a great service

This place is awesome! Best chicken I’ve had in the Boulder area. So cool that it is owned and run by a top chef finalist. The Yuca fries are unreal, the kids love them! The Arroz con Pollo is my favorite and the half chicken is so juicy and delicious! 10/10 recommend!

I have a lot of dietary restrictions at the moment, which cause a lot of problems when ordering at a restaurant. But the Pollo Tico guys were awesome! They worked with me to find something to eat, and the chicken was amazing. The pineapple-habanero sauce was also wonderful. Great food and terrific customer service!!

Bringing some flavor to Boulder! The spices and sauces are fantastic and the chicken is cooked perfectly! (even for my picky eaters) So many delicious sides to choose from. Such a great option in nights I don’t want to cook. Definitely try this place!

UPDATE: Byron (the owner) reached out and took responsibility for the misunderstanding. Mistakes happen but someone’s character shows in how they handle mistakes. I’ve been back to the restaurant and had no problems. I expect my initial experience below was an isolated case.

Amazing costa rican food. I knew it was owned by Byron Gomez (Top Chef) but I didn’t expect to see him, but he was actually there cooking and managing it all. The chicken was flavorful and moist. The GREEN sauce (can’t remember the name) was to die for! My kids also loved the rice and beans and plantains. Definitely a must if you are looking for great food made by a Top Chef!
