Danielle was an excellent server and provided such amazing service to our table. We had a blast catching up over a delicious dinner and to die for cocktails. Would 10/10 come back!

I only stopped in here due to the fact I was staying at the hotel. I order the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. Which was not bad definitely crispy fresh sandwich. Stayed to watch the Vikings game with some of my coworkers and that’s when the service went down hill. To be fair they close at 8pm on Monday which no one was aware. The food and drinks did take a while to get to our table. Definitely convenient place to stay if your at the hotel but definitely have had better food and service

I almost didn’t leave a review because I hate to leave a review of less than five stars unless a place only deserves one star… And PtB deserves much better than one star, just not a full five. Service was pretty good, especially the manager type woman who checked on us several times. Our server did forget to bring me a drink but at least he didn’t charge me for it. My wife and daughter liked their food (the kid’s meal of pasta was huge!). I absolutely loved the cole slaw that came with my fish fry (we ate there on a Friday), and the fries were good. The fish, though… It was good, but it was only one piece, which is not what I’m expecting (maybe two! I don’t know, but more than one). Also, when I ordered, they had three types of fish to be fried (cod, walleye, and something else), and if you wanted baked or grilled you could get cod that way too. I decided on walleye, which happened to be $6 more than the other but I love it and miss it since I moved to Texas. The fish came… And maybe I forgot what walleye tasted like, but that fried fish tasted like cod, and I’ve had lots of that since I left Minnesota. When I asked the server about it, he said that it was definitely walleye, and that was the only type of fried fish they had. I didn’t want to argue, my family was enjoying themselves, the fish was still good. But here we are anyway. I would probably go back to PtB if I stay at the hotel again, but it’s not like I go to Green Bay very often!

Horrible. I see why this place has so many one-star reviews. Walked in to order a beer and a group of “Regulars” were cat calling my friend and offered to buy our round. We hung out for about an hour and ordered a second beer. Decided to close out, and the waitress brought us a check for $16. I gave her my credit card, and she went to run it and I saw a $40 charge come up on my phone. When she came back, I asked about it and she said the “regulars” never offered to buy our round. They had moved the charge back to my credit card without telling me after presenting me with a bill for $16. She asked if I would like to talk to the manager, and I said yes. He came out and never listened to anything we had to say, and kept asking us how many beers we had and was very rude. Obviously not the point and just horrible customer service. Felt like a set up. I will not be back.

I recently dined at Poke the Bear and had a mixed experience that I’d like to share. There were some positive aspects, but a few drawbacks as well. Let me provide a comprehensive overview.

Nice little place in the Northland Hotel. Short-staffed but they manage well. Food was good. Their Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich is a good choice.

The Bartender served us one of the best Old Fashioned. The Poutine and Steak Frites were delicious. We will visit again.

Ryan is the best! He suggested the house chips with the house Bleu cheese. I have come back and ordered them twice since being here. Cozy atmosphere and very attentive staff.

Good food. Great drinks. The bartender Bobbie was very nice and helpful with food recommendations. I had the Reuben with onion rings to eat and the were prepared awesomely. I would definitely go back again. The raspberry ginn Rickey was also very tasty.
