What is a Poké Bowl?
Aside from being the most delicious thing you’ll ever eat, poké (pronounced “POH-keh”) bowls are a Hawaiian staple that feature raw, diced fish traditionally tossed with rice, vegetables and sauces. At Poké Bar, we put our own spin on the island favorite, starting our poké bowls with a base of rice, noodles, or greens. From there, we add your choice of fish, mix-ins, sauces, sides and toppings for a healthy meal that’s all your own.

Only have good things to say about this place. The poke and rice are super fresh and hand mixed by the staff for the ultimate poke experience. The owner, Joon, is so cool and friendly. She grew up in Hawaii and brings so much nuance to making excellent poke. Ingredients are top notch and fresh. The staff prep your food with some serious attention to detail. Easy ordering process – you complete a placard with your order and they get to making it.

Usually hit this place once every week or two. The wife and I get a medium bowl of 3 proteins and share it. There’s plenty for two at around $20. Not bad for dinner nowadays. Everything is good. Brown rice, kale noodles, tuna, salmon, scallops, shrimp, crab, avocado, etc… Highly recommended!

I was was tired, frustrated, and hungry after a exhausting day. I decided to grab some grub and parked at the Best Western parking lot because they share it with Poke Bar. I opened the door of the place and sounds of Wu-Tang Clan pleased my ear and ripped me out of the low mood I was previously in. The line to eat was long but well worth it. Your Poke is built here, similar to Chipotle so you can customize things how you like. It’s not the cheapest meal but worth it because of the size and verity of ingredients. People were friendly and my tummy was very happy with the end result. I’m so happy places like this are appearing in the downtown area.

We had a vegetarian poke bowl with tofu and kale noodles. The food and service was good. Friendly staff. Ambience is nothing fancy but since the food was good, it didn’t matter at all.
